Hi Gatsby, I'm a fan, but I have trouble following your videos sometimes. The last time I saw The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was nearly 20 years ago. I like the idea of revisiting it, but I don't remember a single thing about the plot, so your rewrite makes it hard to track what's being changed for the better. If I could make a suggestion, I think you should take a little bit of time from your behind-the-scenes bits at the starts of videos and maybe just really quickly get people back up to speed with the original story. I think this might help with keeping viewership up too. Some people might find your channel due to a single movie that they're familiar with and want to hear a rewrite about, only to then not be able to follow the next video because they're are not familiar with the movie you're rewriting in that episode.

6:45 Rewrite starts. That is half the video so I think your title could better match your goal. I think your goal seems to be a look into the making of the movie, especially the challenges of the production, and also how you would rewrite the movie to match the comic. It would have been better to make two different videos or change the title. About the rewrite, I didn’t notice much of any ideas you had where you weren’t saying to just do it the way the comic did. Maybe you still had to leave a lot out of the comic but you didn’t talk about that. Your rewrite also covers the main plot but doesn’t give much depth to the characters. I’d like to know who you think gets a character arc in the story? Which characters would you put together in a scene to create banter or team dynamics? I would specifically like to know more about why Mr. Hyde would suddenly help the team when he is a psychotic individual. Does the team change him, bribe him, drug him, etc.

This is pretty cool and your voice is easier to hear most of the time now. Keeping with the comics is a good thing, though one thing I would change is deleting the twist about Skinner in the second volume. I get why the twist happened, but having him betray the team and then being killed...like THAT by Hyde, that never sat well with me. Maybe making him a conman instead of a rapist like the movie did would also serve better. You can make a person terrible but still leave room for sympathy and potential for growth, but at least in today's society, having Skinner pull the "Holy Spirit" stunt that Griffith does in the comics would make him far too unlikeable.

To be honest, this rewrite is almost just a one to one adaption of the comic itself, albeit with some movie tweaks included, when it comes to rewriting the movie itself, I would exclude the likes of Dorian for later sequel & focus on more character development with the league, though I do feel torn with Tom sawyer, since while he does contribute to the problem, I do enjoy the bonding moments he shares with Quartermain, so I'm torn with that. However, if there's one character I wished that they had kept & developed more than ever, they should have divided Moriarity & the 'Fantom' as two seperate people, his design was incredible and I wanted to know more about him. My rewrite would include his scars are deep, but the details as to their origin he keeps mostly vague, but does hint at being somewhat exposed to technology well beyond this world, and when he comes to offer the league to join his cause, he MEANS it, not wanting to fight them and believes that they would be stronger united against a more formidable foe....but doesn't reveal who (he also has some kind of highly advanced 'Niokla Tesla' Gauntlet for close combat encounters). The over arching plot as before, involves Moriarity and The Fantom trying to spark a World War, but while Mory only thirsts for an 'Arms Dealing Empire' to thrive off of, the Fantom, during his final battle with Quartermain, reveals that he is only trying to prepare the world (Militarily anyway) for the 'Visitors from the Stars' arrival, believing that THIS is the only way that the world can survive, and while both of them seem like they're starting to get somewhere, Quartermain holds onto the belief that starting a war (that will cost many lives to do so) is the wrong answer. The film would end with Mory dying as before, but the Fantom gets out, and as a last laugh you could say, the World War begins.

This is cool but I think it still would have been better to keep Skinner the same as he was in the movie. He’s the Invisible Man who came after Griffin so I like that he would be different from him. Also the beginning of the video tells me we might have the same taste in movies
