The throwaway in that situation shows a couple of things: Goff had confidence in his offense, and that he doesn't let his ego get in the way of making the right decision. A lot of QBs would have tried to force a throw there to make up for the 3 interceptions and be the hero. But no, Goff knew the situation, trusted his team, and cut his losses on the play. It stopped the clock and allowed the team to reset. I've seen him do it a couple of times this season. So, yeah, it was an awesome throwaway. No one is praising the play itself, but the situational awareness set up the rest of the drive.

I don’t think ppl understand how just the fact that they even had a lead in this game is a ridiculously unbelievable achievement. Just think about how bad Nathaniel Hackett was last year in Denver and how bad he’s been this year with the jets. Well The Bears GM decided to handover the entire offense and the young future franchise qb to the coach that was directly under Nathaniel Hackett. And even after the whole world witnessed just how horrible of a coach Hackett was not even making a full year in Denver, The Bears still has his understudy running the offense and calling plays. And to make it even worse, you have silly casual Bears fans and the horribly incompetent lost Chicago sports media blaming the quarterback as if he designed the offense and calls his own plays. It’s the most ridiculously insane sports moment I’ve ever witnessed. It’s like a nightmare that you can’t wake up from.

Never forget Anthony Lynn was let go despite a four-game winning streak and leading the Chargers through the transition to LA Because they didn't think he was capable of coaching the Chargers to the next level... with Justin Herbert Brandon Staley has proven he is incapable of coaching this team to the next level... because he has done nothing but hold them back at best and sabotage them at worst... honestly speaking whatever success he has had with the Chargers was inherited via an incoming 20 & 21 draft! His coaching decision cost them the playoffs in 2021 and then they blew a 27-0 lead last year! The reason this guy still has a job is because Dean Spanos has no real fan base for his team & he is only a tenant at sofi Stadium so there's really no one to answer to! He effectively trashed the players and not himself the whole press conference (briefly stated he takes responsibility at one point). You just don't do that as a coach. It's your job as a coach to have the team ready and when they're not week after week you have to own that. It's also your job as a coach to answer questions in press conferences, especially when things are abysmal weekend and week out defensively and you are supposedly a "defensive genius".
