This is just a super video with new Power Apps template. A clarification. For approvers who are in senior leader role wants approver required using Outlook client at Android or iOS, considering latest outlook has been used, do we have dependency from Power Apps or Power Automate? The don’t want additional apps such as Power Apps / Power Automate at their phones.

Approval decision can be made from outlook, teams, approval dashboard and power automate mobile app. Multiple choices are available. Approver is free to choose their medium.

Quick query, after replacing the approvers combo box with classic combo box and replacing the combox names,setting the shown properties in video when I submit a form , the approvers data is not getting saved in the table. When SidebarContainer1 is invisible, how can you make all controls in the form expend its size to fit the screen? In your video at 9:07, you are able to manage it when you set visible property of SidebarContainer1 = if ('Form Screen'.Size = ScreenSize.Small || ApprovalForm1.Mode = FormMode.New, false, true). Hi @ Reza, I have requirement, Let me explain my scenario, I have two Canvas App( Sys Admin, Evaluator App), In Sys Admin App, I have form with dropdown Evaluator which sharepoint list person column, and I have Distribute button in my evaluation screen in SYS Admin Canvas App, When sys admin select evaluator from dropdown and select on "Distribute" Button, email will be send ( without using out look connector) to sys administrator (Deep link of sys Admin canvas ,In email Body) and Evaluator (Deep link of Evaluator Canvas app,In Email Body), Now the challenge/requirement when sys admin forward email to any other evaluator ( link of sys admin app should not open ,from email body link of evaluator). any suggestion how to achieve thank you,

A cool video would be on custom approvals! Approvals without using the powerautomate approval action but done directly in the PoweApp. We have done it at work but would love to see your spin on it. Sometime it can be limiting with reassignment history and sending approvals back a step without restarting the whole approval process again. Just an idea. Great video as always!

That's awesome, but I wonder if you missed to mention how the decision taken column gets updated, how does it move from default 0 to next. It will be great if you can help me, because I have done similar way by having my approvers in the array instead of a person choosing the approvers now I am stuck on how to change the gallery control colors if it approved or rejected with respect to approvers.

Video is designed with user selecting approvers. It can be updated to include an array as long as the array data is saved to that multi select choice column.

Is there a way for the user to perform the approval action directly on the screen with the event information? This is a great session. Now, what happens if a person, say the first approver, forwards the approval request email to another person who was not in the approval list? Will that person be able to click and approve, because it doesn't look like there is a session check when you click that button - which is dangerous for Pharma Industry, where the e-signature is legally binding

@RezaDorrani Hi Reza, I have a question concerning the Send an HTTP request to Sharepoint...Body section, the AssignToId. When I add the Id to my column name the flow seems to work but in Power Automate I get a Failed 'Status' with the following Error: The property 'Assign_x0020_ToId' does not exist on type. 'SP.Data.XXXXXListItem'. Make sure to only use property names that are defined by the type. What's happening here?

When I add a Trigger Condition " @equals(triggerBody()?['Status']?['Value'], 'Pending Approval')" - My Flow doesn't work. It gives me Approval request but when I approve it the status column does not changes to Approved and the flow keeps on buffering. It would be glad if you can please give me an Update. Thank you!

(Only the status, Assigned to, Decisions Taken, Approvers are same, and the process is same.) On 16:16 of the video there is a trigger condition added that it will trigger only when the status is pending approval. When I add that trigger condition my flow doesn't not work.

thanks for your video In regarding to change the Default property of "Assigned To " datacard, I am wondering how can it be improved to have 2/ multiple value from different data fields/cards. For example, I have 1 data card with a personselectorcombobox "Assigned To" and I want to this personselectorcombobox to take values from other 2 personselectorcomboboxs. My current Default property of the datacard "Assigned To" is If(ApprovalForm1.Mode = FormMode.New, Table(First(personselectioncombobox.SelectedItems), First(personselectorcombobox2.SelectedItems)), ThisItem.'Assigned To ') However, it doesn't working. I think the Approval Type should be "Everyone must respond" instead "First to Respond" like you did in this video. In that case, it will only wait for the first responder and then finish the flow. correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

The flow assigns approval task to a single approver at a time. So choosing either of those options wont matter.

I just have one problem and I hope someone can help me please: On the "Event Info" screen, I enter the desired name under "*Approvers" and it is then also displayed under "Assigned to". However, if I then click on "Submit request" and then go to the "Events Home" screen, everything is accepted, only the "Assigned To" column remains empty. Exactly the same in the SharePoint list. Only "Assigned To" remains empty. How can this be, can someone please help me.

@@RezaDorrani I did. But it's okay I just followed the video. I am getting an error though with Send an HTTP action body. Says 'A type named 'SP.Data.Digital_x0020_Signature_x0020_RequestListItem' could not be resolved by the model. When a model is available each type name must resolve to a valid type'. Do I need to rename my SharePoint List? Thanks!

I have a different scenario with my sharepoint form. In my case I don't want user to see "approver" col l. What property I need to change ? so only approvers ( I have list of approver in other list) get notified once form is submitted and then user get notified based on the status if it's approved or rejected.

Hide the approvers card and set its default property by fetching approval info from your list. I don’t have a specific reference on this and hence only sharing the idea.

Hi Reza. Could you please help me with this. It's critical. Issue is that I have four SharePoint columns which are single line of text. Now I need to compare these SharePoint columns and need to display the highest value in fourth column. But in these columns there can be stirng which is "NA". While using Max function I am getting error which is NA cannot be converted to number. Is there any possible way to show the max value even we have NA? Could you please give me solution in the comment.

Reza, I have a very similar use case but I have one selectable approver (who will be first in the approval chain), but I also have three SET approvers that will follow in a predetermined order. What's the best way to handle this? help! Love the video, this is a perfect solution for me.

Basically I want to have the "approvers" field exactly like in here, except formatted identical to the Assigned to. what if i want to add a comment sheet when approving the Document , as in submitting evidence /support documents before approving , is it possible . ? and then the next approver can see the comment sheet and add there comments to it as well and then send for final approval to manager .. please help - god bless you

Possible but cannot be done solely from approvals. Will need approver to come to power app form and enter the details and then move the process forward. I do not have a specific video reference on this scenario though.

@@RezaDorrani Ok so here's where I am at (thanks in advance Reza for being so awesome and helpful): I had the table outside of the MainContainer1. Once I inserted it into that spot, the OnSelect property showed up. Here's where I'm stuck currently: 4:29 - I add a logo icon in also, update the OnSelectLogo to Back(). I test the app, I can't click that logo at all. I eventually just put in a default Icon (ClassicIcon) of left arrow in that spot and updated the Onselect Property of the Left Arrow Icon to Back(). That does nothing either when I select it in the Preview section. Any ideas?

Welcome! Flow approvals come with actionable messaging in email, teams and more will come in future. Deep linking and handling in apps is an option as well. Its a choice that you can make based on what works best for you.

I was wondering because the approval-flow implementation is easier to do in a "linear" way, however once you have split approval chains or conditionally added approvers it seems that it would get much more difficult to handle with a single flow. I did not embed power auto to power app. The flow triggers when an item is created in SharePoint list (item gets created by power app)
