It's certainly more common to hear, "I never said that," or "It was taken out of context," or "I was misquoted." It IS rare for a politician to say "I was wrong." They are always wanting to be seen as infallible and unwavering, when in fact, most politicians are more concerned with keeping power than keeping values.

One great thing about RFK Jr is that he can admit when he's wrong or when he has made a mistake and then he works to correct it. I like that, and as a doctor of public health he speaks to all the issues that I'm interested in. Our food supply is the most toxic in the world and chronic illness in America has reached epidemic proportions. One out of every three children in America today suffer from either pre-diabetes or Type 2 diabetes. No one else is talking about the elephant in the living room accept RFK Jr.

Listening to RFK over the past year he's a very common sense, pragmatic approach to politics. A lot of people bash him for his policies from the past but everyone evolves. I know tons of democrats who, as they age, become republicans it happens. I think it's important to celebrate these transitions and hear an explanation.

People become Republicans as they age because what were new ideas when they were young and idealistic, ideas they fought for, become the old. New ideas come in and they become scary, especially when you’re older and have settled into your life. You just want to live comfortably. It’s understandable

@@JessJoanne The best we can do is keep encouraging people to be brave: too much of this voting issue is fear like he mentioned. I find it's easiest to remind people that everyone is someone's son or daughter. They're family, friends to someone out there. It makes it harder to demonize someone if others remember they're more alike than dissimilar.

I do not recall another politician so ready to own up to his mistakes and United States has never been closer to civil war. He posted a video on his KZfaq page about his time there and what he saw. He completely changed his mind after seeing it with his own eyes. He is for complete border security and has even laid out his plan for stopping the influx of migrants.
