I have a cleaning chain I found here in germany in the house I moved into, thanks for this info, I will go look at it now and determine if it was aluminum or zinc coated. Found a few things here intresting rcently I will be posting on my channel, and I am very interested in learning details on their history.

Hey man, you earned a sub after I saw your videos on Flak 38 and I got a question about that, where's the third one? Your style of presenting info got me excited for it and then I noticed there's none here on your channel! What kind of oil was used in those oilers?

Ballistol. It was invented for the german army and was used in it from 1905 till 1945.
