Thank you. Anyone that is wondering about the airflow arrow. The RGF REME HALO like he installed has a replaceable bulb lamp and airflow orientation is up as you look at the unit and read the label. Where as the RGF REME LED is at the 3 o'clock position rather than straight up. I have seen some videos of people orienting the airflow arrow wrong. This guy did it right. 👍

I am late to the game. But for the reme transformer, do the wire colors match to the A.C. unit transformer? I get all the other parts just worried about the wiring to A.C.
@jairotorres73123 жыл бұрын
Look at your voltage information, and choose the colors you need to use for correct voltage. Example. If your voltage supply is 240 and stepping down to 24v use the two wires that states 240.
@VindiceLibertas4 жыл бұрын
You should've utilized some vent sealant or mastic around the lip of your hole to ensure efficiency without pressure loss, sealing against the enclosure. Further, as others indicated your incorrect wiring, it will remain on at all times, rather than only when the fan blower is on, which reduces the lifespan of the equipment and wastes electricity, resulting in an inefficient allocation of scarce resources.
@ynot67814 жыл бұрын
Actually you are incorrect and missing the larger mistake . What makes equipment go bad is the countless power up and power off . Typically when powered up you surge the equipment to maximum amperage , then it drops down to actual lower running amp . A multistage blower is optimal with a forced air system . What breaks down equipment is the on off The UV install is fine , your not losing any pressure , he used a gasket which is the sealer . You can rest assure the duct system in the home is losing a minium 15% from unsealed and connections in an average home . Now let's get to the real elephant in the room . This unit produces ozone . This is harmful to human beings even at low doses as well as being useless in reducing indoor air pollution . This is outdated technology . The consumer should do a few minutes of elementary research in order to understand what exactly this is doing to their indoor air And goes without saying the installer knows nothing but what the box says . He needs , as an hvac tech to understand what he is installing . Clearly he has no clue He cares enough to post a video to help people , but doesn't understand he's actually , unknowingly doing a disservice . Research , delete the video , and post a new one with proper UV equipment that actually improves the indoor air quality and health .
@VindiceLibertas4 жыл бұрын
@@ynot6781, blah blah blah. All marketing and early wear and tear nonsense to increase profits for your industry. Look, companies are going around trying to charge $2,000 for the installation of a UV light. Fuck out of here with that consumer exploitation. That's highway robbery. And you know what's sad? It's mostly the disabled and elderly they'll be fucking over. If they want to cut the hole, wire it themselves, they should. "The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides Ozone exposure levels that have been adopted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires that ozone given off by indoor medical devices be no more than 0.05 ppm. Workers are restricted from exposure that averages a concentration of 0.10 ppm of ozone in a period of 8 hours, as mandated by OSHA. An upper limit of 0.10 ppm of ozone exposure is not to be exceeded at any time, according to NIOSH. The EPA's National Ambient Air Quality Standard for ozone is a maximum outdoor concentration of 0.08 ppm in an 8 hour period." You aren't suggesting this device produces beyond 0.1 ppm? Lmfao. What you're trying to do is boogeyman people into buying a different product. It's being used as industry propaganda to convince people to spend more money and adopt new brands that just can't compete in a free market. It's not rocket science, just like blowing out my sewage exit port is not a rocket science, and I should be free to do it without being fined. Installing doors and windows are not rocket science, either. Stop acting like it is, when you're barely able to write a coherent sentence.
