i was a student of satyendra sir. i did my b.tech in mechanical engg. from gitam university, vizag; 2009-2013 batch. he taught us materials science in a single semester. he surely was a guy with the greatest knowledge of almost everything. all the students in our batch were his fans. his teaching style was so unique. as long as he was in the class, we felt like we were being taught by a genius mind, that was probably how the students of Dr. Radha Krishna felt towards him. i would rate him as one of the best teachers i ever had in my life. i have read s.h.avner countless number of times because of him. he developed in us a love for what he teaches. the strangest thing was, even the dumbest or laziest students in our class started studying on their own and scored well. his knowledge and charisma drove them to that. basically he was kind of an aloof person to his colleagues, but he was very friendly and supportive to the students. he never brags about the laurels he achieved. he did research work in top american universities, taught as a professor there for sometime, and then he came back to india so that he could part his knowledge with us (he is a patriot). not many people does that. his cubicle was completely filled with books you probably won't find that easily (i know it for sure because i too read so many books- and i already have my own personal library at home); he had a small coffee machine that he drinks from and an oven to cook his food. keeping his own oven was a shocker for me until so many days. he seldom spoke with his colleagues. he comes on time, prepares notes for his classes, teaches his students, and then goes back to either his cubicle or his library for furthermore reading. he was always so strict and a perfectionist, he did not mind bashing the administrators a couple of times for not doing what they were supposed to do. i see some people in the comments asking whether he has written any books. i don't know if he has written any books; but we all knew that he was doing some research work. he chose a select few from us to type for him. he probably thought typing was boring compared to thinking and reflecting on his thoughts. well, unfortunate for us, we were the last batch in our college to be taught by him. he had some problem with the administrators i think, probably because of his boldness; he left the college without a job at hand. but for a knowledgeable person like him, it would not be difficult to find a job. the colleges/students would be luckier to have him. the last time i heard he was teaching in andhra university, vizag. what ramu sir said in the interview that satyendra sir is teaching in a college in vijayawada is a new update for me. as he doesn't keep in touch with us, this is how we get to know about him the best. ramu sir said right, "only a fool cannot recognize the brilliance of satyendra sir."

I too seen a similar person like Sathyendra but not him. I believe these kind of personalities will develop when they enlighten and they continue the process of enlightning. This enlightment will come from different forms of concentration like Meditation(Swamy Viveknanada), Research(Einstein), Reading books(Sathyendra,RGV) etc. The person whom i came accross from Meditation. Details : by 24yrs he finished his Engineering, From 24 to 30 he was in Sringeri Sharadha Peetam. From 30 he continued his Masters and PhD in IISC Bangalore, Latter he worked as Proffesser in PES Bangalore, now in CMRIT bangalore and Finally he is Dr H N Shankar.
