FYI anyone who hasn't taken exam yet! the standard way rd.break doesn't work! Do it like this! You can do it with the 'rw' in front of init=/bin/bash, to skip the step of mount -o remount,rw /. rw init=/bin/bash after changing password and relabeling, you have to use the path of /usr/sbin/reboot -f to reboot the system.

Dear Mr. Awesome Club, I passed my RHCSA Exam ver 9.3 today. Your exam video is awesome and questions were almost same. 1. I added BaseOS and AppStream as repository as given in exam. dnf repolist all this command showed that repos all added and enabled. But when I tried to install any package using dnf install -y command was not running and giving error that register the system using subscription-manager command. No username and password was given in exam to register the system with subscription-manager. Luckily I did not need to install any package and all were already pre-installed. 2. fdisk command was not found on system and I could not install it because system was not registered. I had to made partition using gdisk command. If you know anything about it. discuss it in your video for others. Anyway, I passed the exam. Thanks to your efforts.

for the root password reset problem, once the grub bootloader is selected as rescue-shell, and we were able to break into the initramdisk (rd); please sir let me know if I am following the correct steps: first we mount the /sysroot with -> mount -o remount,rw /sysroot then, we change the root shell into sysroot with -> chroot /sysroot once within the sysroot shell, we will use -> passwd to set the new password as per question. then we create the autorelabel for the SELinux with -> touch /.autorelabel exit the sysroot shell exit the rescue shell System will now boot

What's the difference in using yum config-manager --add-repo vs building the repo from scratch? With the config-manager command wouldn't the gpgcheck=0 be the only option to add? . Will the gpgcheck =1 in /etc/yum.conf override repo settings?

Does anyone understand why the entry in auto.master is not "/home/guests auto.misc" ? /home/guests is the top-level directory for each users home directory on the client to be managed by autofs. Then each specific user (netuser1, netuser2, etc.) is an entry in auto.misc. ex. lines in auto.misc should be /netuser1 -fstype=nfs, etc. /netuser2 -fstype=nfs .... etc. the reference to /netdir in Q7 seems to be irrelevant?
