This week on “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia,” Lilian sits down with NXT Superstar, Rhea Ripley. In this episode, Rhea talks about why she doesn’t regret any of her past and how she uses NEGATIVITY to motivate herself. She discusses what it was like growing up in Australia and not being a fan of school. Find out what match got Rhea into loving pro wrestling and her wanting to be a pro wrestler. She shares memories of her getting started as a pro wrestler which include her living in Japan for half a year. After signing with the WWE, she would still have self-doubt as well as trouble with public speaking. Find out which WWE Legend helped her overcome her fears. Rhea’s current look was much different than when she started with the WWE and find out how Toni Storm had an influence in her new and improved look. Rhea also gets very real as she reveals things she has NEVER shared in public in hopes she can help others who are self harming themselves. All this and much more including being told she would never make it as a wrestler and eventually getting the support from her parents. Get fired up, as it’s about to get real, raw, and inspiring with Rhea Ripley.

Its always sad to see young girls struggle in school when they've clearly got a learning deficiency or behavioural issue when it would have been so much easier for them if they'd have been diagnosed as a child. so many girls have unrecognised disorders, not diagnosed because many people believe the very untrue stereotype that only boys have disorders like ADD or ADHD, its frustrating. it must've been hard growing up thinking you bad or stupid for things that aren't in your control. I hope Rhea continues to overcome all the barriers put in place and continue to make history,

Undiagnosed ADHD kid here who went through hell in school between depression, self-harm, and all sorts of eating disorders. Rhea is a role model, I wish she had chances to talk about these issues more often and more loudly because young girls need to see they're not alone and help actually makes things better. Watching this is 2022 makes me even more proud, she's a young star on the rise and the future of WWE's women division. One of the best out there.

I really this episode with Rhea Ripley I knew she had a story to tell however I didn't see all coming like this in waves. She's very talented smart, cunning, strong and funny. Her teachers in school are now wishing they had spent more with her one on one like her trainers did rather than be little her. I'm very happy she has saved herself like many others in WWE. I'm a huge fan of hers and I can't wait to see her and Shayna square off.

This girl is going to be a star, in my opinion. And I mean beyond NXT, where she's already big. She's got the looks, the ability and charisma. All she's got to do is stay healthy and there will be no stopping her. I'll be very disappointed in the WWE if they've not made Rhea one of the top girls in the company by this time next year.

We always love seeing Australians do so well in the world be it Rhea, Toni, Buddy, Shane Thorne, Daniel Vidot, Mickey Nicholls recently in Japan or in other forms of entertainment. I’m glad she had found herself and is willing to be so vulnerable in front of the camera. An amazing mature young woman and the sky is the absolute limit for her and the rest representing Australia! Seeing her as a women i admire and also a human so real and down to earth aside from her character in WWE makes me love her more and she gives me confidence in myself. Respect Dem a shit ton since meeting her in my own hometown of Mount Gambier South Australia during the Mount Gambier's new years festival in 2017 where there was an RCW (Riot City Wrestling) event happening as RCW are there every year, was amazing getting the chance to talk to her in person for the first time and getting a photo with her as I remember that night we had a pretty amazing conversation about the future ahead in WWE, as a big local fan I'm glad she has gone as far as she has in her career since them two years have passed :) As for the Self harming part really shocked me as back when I met her I was in a bad state of mind myself and always came close to self harming myself too and was a massive drinker and pot smoker always feeling negative about every aspect of life, 2 years since has been much better though and hearing this that she been through some things in the past it is inspiring as things can always lead too good things once your happy within your ownself

I love Rhea. She really does make me feel like I can truly be myself!! Growing up, I knew I was different from the girls. I always used to play with my brothers and play with their soldiers and wrestlers. I used to always get picked on by "girly girls". I was always told that I should wear make-up. I have never been to shows as a kid because my mom never cared for wrestling. Wrestling really stayed with me and Chyna showed me what it was like to be a girl and still kick ass. I always dressed like a male and then just started dressing like a rocker. My mom even noticed me dressing like a tomboy with the Gothic look and chimed in and started dressing like a rocker.

Hey Rhea, I know you’ll never see this but I need to let it out. Thank you. You are the reason I got into wrestling & I want to become a wwe wrestler some day as well. And I KNOW I can do it. You’ve helped me kind of adjust my mentality as well. I used to hear people say rude things abt me/to me & I would let it put me down, I would even self harm. But after learning more about the way u see it, I now just let it fuel me! I’ll hear people say “Sydney’s so annoying. Like why does she care SO much about pointless shit?” And now I’m just like“ Annoying? Pointless? Yeah, we’ll see abt that babe.” Like I just don’t let that shit get to me anymore it’s just simply fuel now. You’ve inspired me so much to get into wrestling & train for my future. My family & friends don’t exactly believe that I’ll ever get there someday, but as I said before, that’s only fuel. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love u 🤟🏻. ❤️

Thanks for doing these interviews, Lilian. This is the type of stuff I wish WWE would do on Graves podcast instead of trying to cram in 3+ guests per 1 hours episode while mixing in story lines. They had Rhea on and it was a complete waste. This interview was awesome though. Well done.
