i started having seizures in April 2019 it was out of the blue and my parents described what they saw which was jerking, and muscle stiffness. I woke up in an ambulance bed and my entire body was hurting also i had a headache. now a year and a half later Im still having them but my parents are saying it is going to gradually go away. Also i had two this morning, for some reason it always happens in the morning. I am on medication, I have been since 2019, and my parents just pray that this disease goes away. The doctors say that their is nothing wrong structurally with my brain, but that its sending out brain waves triggering the seizures. Note: i had a MRE scan back in 2020. Now i am willing to take matters into my own hands regardless of my age, i want to research upon these things and hopefully help others on my journey

❤❤❤❤ I was vomiting, kicking and fighting during my seizure. I don't remember anything. Thankfully my friend was there. I woke up in the ambulance in the middle of giving EMT my birth date. This video is more helpful than my hospital visit, as upon arrival they told me I was Black, not American Indian and they listed I have a cannabis abuse issue and PTSD. I guess they are allowed to assume. As I'm getting the paperwork amended and researching my condition I came across this comment and it made me feel better. Thank you for sharing. 💎❤

Today, I learned that I gave a perfect description of Jacksonian Match to my Neurologist who diagnosed me 1) Myoclonic Movements, 2) Possible Autosomal Dominant Frontal Lobe Epilepsy 3) Frontal Lobe Atrophy (which was on a 2009 MRI that zero VA neurologists, have over a half dozen, mentioned has anything to do with my symptoms. They kept giving me antidepressants which induced severe seizures. Each medication was a slightly different seizure type from tonic clonic to dystonic to exacerbating Myoclonis.

They couldn't find an eviction of a seizure when they scanned my brain but I'm on seizure medication because all of the symptoms I had said seizure and my dad and uncle have them. They think my paxil caused my seizure. I bit my tongue and I was so sore all over and had a headache. I went uncomfortable and the ambulance had to put a tube down my throat to get me breathing again. It was so scary I don't remember anything but my husband told me everything 😢

I have recently been diagnosed with focal onset temporal lobe epilepsy. The neurologist doesn’t know how this started. Everyday I get these horrible feelings of panic, deja vu and a rising sensation in my stomach, I also enter a strange mental state which I can’t describe, but it isn’t nice. These feelings can last from 5 to 20 seconds. Sometimes I have these feelings and then nothing happens, but other times I will have a seizure right after the feeling. I am unaware during these seizures and I become completely unresponsive, this lasts around 20 seconds. Once the seizure is over, I slowly return to normality, but I won’t know what day it is if I’m asked and I won’t have memory of what happen in the last few minutes. I also have no memory for the 2 minutes after I’ve had a seizure.

My daughter got seizures for two years. Medicated now after three years in paediatrics. Very complex. It was so stressful. I used to run to stop her from falling, or holding her up and yes I have slapped her trying to bring her around. It was so stressful. I have had seizures where I’m awake and I can see and talk but I can’t move, I just see my body shaking. Then I have seizures where I black out, can’t control my bladder, and I bite my tongue so bad that it swells up. I know you made this comment almost a year ago now, but please if you can tell me your symptoms so I at least know someone else goes through what I go through.

My cousin/classmate had one. He is usually quiet and well behaved, but he blanked out and just started doing weird stuff. Eg. he tapped his pen on the table as hard as he could, stabbed himself with his pen, and stuck his tongue in and out if his mouth. In the hall, he was zipping his coat up and down, tapping his foot, staring, and not talking. When he went to the doctor, he threw up getting out of the car

Thank you, this helps explain a lot for me, , at 56 I was diagnosed with epilepsy around June 2023, I had had a seizure and ended up in a canal in the dark in my land rover and only survived as a policeman happened to be 1000 yards up the road, he dived in and got me out, no idea what had happened, about 6 weeks later had another seizure, i have near to no memory BUT as well as ending up in canal, my push bike, phone and keys were all placed near a gate, so I must have realised it was going to happen but no memory of it, since I have had many peti mal fits and a couple big seizures since but getting on with life on meds. On top of this I have Fibromyalgia and a heart condition...... life eh?

I just had a seizure, not really sure if its seizure or convulsion. It was morning, I woke up and feeling it happen starts from my feet, but that time, I managed to scream, calling someone to take a look of whats happening, in less than 10secs, I loss conscious because, I think I cant breath and I cant control my body anymore. I think it lasted 20mins or 2hrs, because I think I fell asleep after it happened, it was Nov 18, 2023 , around 6am, then I woke up 8am. What I meant 20mins, the seizure lasted 20mins and I just fall asleep after it happened. I dont know how or what it triggers, im sleeping that time and I felt it happening out of nowhere. Im glad I called their name, coz they said if I didnt, no one would know what was happening to me... That was a hell of an experience, can anyone tell me, will it happen again? 🥺🥺

I experienced something today which I believe was a seizure. It was the first time it has happened, I’m 26 years old. I stood up, walked about 10m, when I felt my vision going dark. I have iron deficiency so I thought it was due to that, however my eyes closed and I felt myself falling, complete loss of leg function. I managed to call out to my mom as I was with her, and then I opened my eyes, I was on the ground seated as I fell next to our greenhouse and was leaning on it, then my arms and legs started flailing/shaking, and I couldn’t breathe well. I tried to move and talk but couldn’t. I watched myself shaking. Mom ran over and wrapped her arms around me until my limbs stopped convulsing. It lasted maybe 20-30 seconds from dark vision to the end. And I’m not sure what it could be as it has never happened before in my life. I’m extremely freaked out right now. I knew a girl in elementary school that had epilepsy and witnessed her seizure once so I have been researching and wondering what caused it and what even happened. If anyone has similar symptoms, please let me know. I’m not sure what to do right now.

Hi my name is Steve i started having sezuire,s back in 2006,being in an out of hospital over the last decade with 2 to 3 sezuire,s a day, anxiety attacks, headaches vertigo and body pain due to episodes of sezuire,s... This completely changed my life, MRI exrays showed a electrical disturbance to the right side of my brain 🧠 it was inoperable, i had almost given up on life finding it difficult to live with severe depression, anxiety and on going sezuire,s... Been given different types of medications 💊 but to no prevail. In 2019 I had 2 stage 5 sezuire,s on the same day, doctors had to place me in a induce coma for 24 hours till my brain rested, i was a mess with a broken nose, broken check bone, ruptured eye and server bruising to my face...took 3 weeks to recover... Now in September of 2020 i started drinking a pure lemon 🍋 juice i had made up each day, a fruit shop or lemon tree helped get me started, i started noticing a change in myself, sezuire,s had stopped, shaking to my hands had also stopped, what was freshly squeeze lemon doing to make feel better, i continued on drinking fresh lemon juice daily and to this day i haven't had a sezuire since September 2019... My doctor was baffled on each of my visits to why my episodes of sezuires stopped...now is this an act of god 😑 and nature taking care of me❤. To this day my sezuire,s stopped... As far as i know lemon 🍋is a form of detoxification juice,, for the last 3 years of not having sezuire,s a simple home remedy has worked for me... Try it out it my work for you... 1-6 freshly squeezed lemons 🍋 2 mixed with a fresh bottle of spring 💧water. 3 mixed in a jug. 4 drink daily for your body to be detoxified Go for regular walks 🚶‍♂️ also helps the lemon juice circulate throughout your arteries I started noticing a big change in my body inside 6 months...😊

Not sure if this will answer your question. When my oldest son was 17, he was hit by a car head on while riding his moped/motorized scooter. He sustained a severe TBI (traumatic brain injury) - and underwent a couple brain surgeries. During his time in the hospital after his accident, with family around 24/7 to help stimulate his brain, I'd watch him laying in his hospital bed then suddenly stare into space, no blinking, with a fixed gaze and his facial expression was still. It lasted maybe 10-20 seconds. I watched this happen to him every now and then during his long(and successful) recovery. He was having ischemic focal seizures, then he'd snap out of it. Those eventually stopped happening to him. It's a miracle he's alive given the initial grim prognosis. He's 27 now and from being hit by a car head on, flying over his handlebars 25 feet in the air and landing directly on his head... the "only" permanent injury he sustained was deafness in his right ear. He also gets headaches every now and then, but ultimately made a full recovery🙏🏽💜

Had one of the tonic clonic seizures needing an ambulance. Thankfully my mom was with me. Wondering now if I ever had more than just one. I think it was just this once. Doctors think the seizure was due to me abruptly stopping Duloxetine (antidepressant) without doctor's approval. I have PTSD and think it may be related to that, and to my head injuries from skiing, snowboarding, and skateboarding.

Im suffering from a kind of seizure since 7/8 year more , I had been diagnosed Calciofied granuloma at temporal lobe region , and Mesial temporal scelorosis through MRI SCAN, Now I'm taking medication name clobazam and this medicine didn't able to control my problem and later I started take Divalproex but same didn't able to control my problem, and then started taking Lacosamide but this also not able to control my problem, I feels suddenly discomfort at head and too much difficulty all over the body too much discomfort till 20 second to last 50 second and after then I feels normal. During that time I always in normal condition everything can sense normally my surround environment and can talk with anyone normally and do everything, only too much difficulty and discomfort which is out of tolerate and I feels relief after 20 to 50 second later and becomes normal, I feels such types of difficulty daily 1/2 times or more repeat and some time 2/3 days gap and 1/2 attack. Some time condition repeat so much more than 50 per day , Really bothering EEG test only can detect during that attack of 20 to 50 second other time not able ti detect and always show normal EEG , I haven't been unconscious never and can feel everything normal during attack. Really don't know which medicine can control this types seizure.

Yes, if you watch videos or videogames with stroboscopic effects ... even certain programs on TV and if you are sensitive enough, even certain sounds can cause an epileptic seizure. (I even 'bother' the stripes or checks in the fabrics for dresses or decorations, blankets, curtains, etc., if they are quite contrasting in colors and not too big, I don't have to look at them because even if for a few seconds, I goes the tongue and the eyes backwards while the muscles begin to "shrink" ... not funny at all!).

How do I know if I have petit mal/absence seizures?
@ronanbrowne7489

I have it you will feel a mix of the after effects as described . You may also have a number of symptoms before eg a sense of being out sink with your everything around you. You may see spots of colour floating across your vision . Taste smell touch and your level of stress may also give you an indication. The clearest indication is when another person observes. The events.

With absence seizures, the person just blacks out until the seizure is over. So, the only way you know if you had the seizure is if someone saw you have it. I have both Grand-Mal and Absence seizures.

@@ronanbrowne7489 "a sense of being out sink with your everything around you. You may see spots of color floating across your vision." That's a seizure Aura. seizure auras usually only happens with Grand-mal seizures.

I put my seizure video on my youtube channel because I just wouldn't believe that such movements could be done when I have a seizure while sleeping, so my wife recorded it for me. I feel sad for myself and anyone else who has seizures. I actually didn't know anything about seizures till I had my first one in September of 2020. If anyone gots any advice for us, please share it.

Hey . Did your neurologist put u on medication? My first seizure was when I was 12 I think, I really don’t remember the first time it happened..My mom told me I had my real first seizure when I was 10 months only happens once , but I didn’t have any until 12 I think.. I was pregnant on 2019 and had my daughter on 2020 I was so depressed because of the seizure, I was scared if something happened to me while being pregnant.. I can say I beg to my neurologist to put me on medication because I has having a baby. They did put me on Keppra 200mg but didn’t work so I’m on Lamotrigine 200mg two in the morning and two in the afternoon, I was getting dizzy a few months ago so now I take 1 and half and two in the afternoon.. please try to talk to ur neurologist about the medication, it’s a live changing.. the only thing is basically ur body gets “addicted to it “ sometimes my pharmacy don’t have my medication ready and if I don’t take the medication for two days I feel like I’m going crazy and depressed, Good Luck 🤍🫶

@@Gii1998 The doctor put me on keppra 700mg but I didn't want to take the meds, so I kept skipping them and only took them once in a while. I ending up having another one so I started taking them like I'm supposed to but since I had another seizure, my neurologist put me on a higher dosage even though I told him that I hadn't been taking the pills, I'm now taking 1000mg of keppra twice a day. I was thinking of taking just half a pill twice a day and cut it down to 500mg. For a while I was taking only half a pill and I didn't have any seizures, I than started taking them only at night and not at day time since I only had seizures when I was asleep and I never had one while awake just to see if maybe I could get away from taking them twice a day, I did that for about a month, then I stopped taking them completely but ending up having another one, so now I'm taking them on schedule but would really like to get off the pills. My first seizure was the night I played a video game with seizure warnings on it, I had been playing the game for about a week but this night I was playing that game on two different phones under the cover till about 3am in the morning, my wife said as soon as I fell asleep, I had a seizure. I no longer play games with seizure warnings on them and try my best not to miss a dosage. My seizures only happened when I was asleep, I've never had one while awake, I would hate to have one while awake. I also get more sleep now, I use to only sleep about two the three hours a night. My doctor pushes pills on me, he'll ask me if I want a higher dosage and I'm like no, that's why I wasn't taking them because I don't want to take pills. I had removed my seizure video off youtube but I'm gonna put it back up in a couple of days. I'm gonna ask my doctor to lower my dose the next time I go see him. My neurologist told me smoking weed would probably help prevent me from getting seizures, I was like wow! I've never heard a doctor recommend someone smoke weed. I was like that's weird. Anyways, If you want to see my seizure I had, go to my KZfaq channel, I will be putting it back up in a couple of days. I haven't had a seizure for over a year now. Maybe the pills are keeping me from having another one, but I really would like to lower the dosage and try to get off the pills entirely. I'm a very active person, the pills seem to melo me out and slow me down a bit, I hate that feeling, I've been an active person all my life, so it's hard for me to live on this medication. I've been on them over a year now and I'm still don't like taking the medication. I don't know if maybe my dosage is to high and maybe I just need a lower dosage.

I also had seizures, but it only attack a minute after I fell asleep😢 I don't remember any attacked when I was awake. Had this when I'm 13 or 14 I think. I haven't been into doctor for check ups or medication because I have no money to pay for it😔 I really hate this feeling. I just always pray to Almighty God that this disease will go miraculously🙏
