I think my favorite part of the GMM science experiments is all the extra variables they add in that negate the experiment from ever being conclusive.

But, you wash the experiment arm pit, but, why not wash the control arm pit? If you don't do that, the control arm pit will be full of sweat and ALWAYS will smell worse than the experiment one.

That's the point . It's to show while one gets worse and worse , the other while only rinsing off the previous substitute (not washing ) it's still able to compare to the control cuz stank is still building up .

+Uriei True. In an scientific experiment, you treat the control the exact same way as the non-control. That's the entire point of the control - You treat it the same way, but you should still know the outcome of it. If something goes wrong with the control, you can't really trust your experiment (so if the control pit smelled more than the experimental-treated pit, there would be something wrong - if the control is treated the same way).

Jophiela So if you want to know if a product works relating to a control, its better to use a control used against another product and not the actual product right? if you wanna know if baking soda is better than rocks, you are applying soda in a washed armpit, and then compare to an armpit already sweated 2 or 3 times before, its not real. Even if you don't use a deodorant the washed pit will smell less than the control one!

+Uriei you don't apply things in the control group :) in most cases you measure, and then compare the values. But in this case they use Stevie's memory to determine which was more effective compares with the last one

But .. the pit that is washed between every test is obviously going to be less stanky, than the one that is stanking up unwashed throughout... Even if no "deodorant" is used. So.. isn't the whole test flawed anyway? I think the control-pit should've been washed in the same fashion tbh :D (There's something I didn't expect to write today.)

I'm actually allergic to antiperspirants (like, huge itchy stinky rash within hours allergic), so I use the Thai Crystal deodorant stick. It's awesome! It won't stop you from sweating, as it isn't an antiperspirant, but a deodorant. But I won't smell all day. It doesn't leave any residue, and you don't smell like perfume. :D

I'm a girl but I wear Old Spice Wolfthorn sometimes. It smells fruity, and it doesn't have antiperspirant so it doesn't clog your pores. It smells strong enough to handle the job.
