I think that's something anyone would have done, regardless of personal feelings. Rhett wasn't just gonna sit there while tiny sharp projectiles were launched towards Link's face, just like how I would impulsively act if the same thing were happening to a random science lab partner in school. I swear, some of y'all really over inflate the relationship between intertainers. Just because I impulsively protect someone from immediate danger doesn't mean I really care for them or love them - it means that I'm human and that's what most humans do

You need to put the toaster on its side. Place 1 slice of cheese on top of the bread, then toast. Watch out for the pop up or the top slice will land on the bottom still face up.

They actually make a bag that you put the sandwich in and then into the toaster. It's made specifically for things like grilled cheese.
