And how people dislike this? Maybe I'm just such a chiffonhead that I could watch Stevie sing the phone book and think it was brilliant xD

This is an excellent version of this song. My fave of all time is Memphis 1982. Nothing, I mean, NOTHING comes close to it.

I've not seen that version, but the midnight special version from the mid 70s is hard to beat

Bravo Stevie! You look absolutely beautiful. Your outstanding talent always shows,(no matter how you perform).That's what makes you so special. So far,I've seen most of the videos from this "Fleetwood Mac Live 1982 tour." They are all of my favorites. I'm astonished at the way Lindsey plays the guitar. He's brilliant. Christine, John and Mick show their different talents. They're awesome. A great band like, Fleetwood Mack, will go down in Rock history...

@silvamandy89 Have to agree their best and Stevies most awesome performance of this song is the 1976 performance on "Whistle Test"

I'm also noticing that the drumming is off in a couple areas. I think they were having an off-night for sure. Stevie sure is pretty in that white dress though.

This is the only time I have seen Stevie turn to Chris while they both sing the second verse. Typically, Chris is looking at Stevie - maybe hoping to get some acknowledgement - but Nicks just either stares forward or looks at Lindsey. She did that a lot with Chris - then. There is a lot more interaction between the lovely ladies of the Mac onstage now.

she does it in the 1977 Japan version too!

they all appear not into this version, Stevie looks spaced.

@MrsCindyLeonidas I think too that iin 78 the part of the energy derived from the relationship was different, that by 82 they had been THROUGH it, and it seems Lindsay was through with it, this version always makes me cry because I feel that is what Stevie felt here, like all her powers were not enough to pick up the pieces and put it together again...it's like she's been crying, on the verge of - I know I would be... & no it was not just the coc cuz other songs not=the same. blame wild hearts

The girl was plainly exhausted, whapped out, or both. But she got through it. One thing that has always impressed me about Fleetwood Mac is their perserverance. I mean, through all the upheavals they've experienced (not the least of them cause by the Buckingham/Nicks histrionics themselves) why doesn't anyone give more credit or pay more to tribute to Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and especially Christine??>

I am SHOCKED by all the biotches that say this sux! I mean I know that the '76 Midnight version was THE BEST Chill Producing eargasm ever!!!! Fuck Yeah it was!!!! But, you can't have that with every live performance! She/They are worn down more on certain nights! I mean C'mon thats how it is with a lot of live performances! Every band/musician has versions we don't think are so hot as before! By this time the drugs and her mind was beaten the shit out of her! BUT! She still ROCKED it!

@Rhiannonlynn1970 Nah... I read the biography all thy way back...the drama was already there...and it made Rumours the Grammy for Album of the Year in 1977.

its i don't change her ,you don't change her... and no this is the best version.
@Rhiannonlynn197013 жыл бұрын
I'm just taking a guess on this one but when Buckingham-Nicks joined thats when a lot of the drama started,everyone bed hopping,the hard drugs.Stevie is a hell of a leading lady,she was their focal point.I am just amazed with her.She fucking ROCKS!!!! So does Christine,Mick and John.So does Ann and Nancy Wilson. I dont know why they dont give more credit to Mick, John, or Christine.

Is there a chance where she'll collaborate with Kesha and Florence Welch? That way it will be a truly beautiful version of this song. Stevie, Florence, and Kesha are the 3 most beautiful female singers.
@AmyLLevi14 жыл бұрын
this version is dreadful and whoever said it was the coke and drugs was right....she didnt give a crap, she wanted to get off the stage and do another bump! lol check out 75 and 76 for sure
@sefrims113 жыл бұрын
think this is her worst performance of this song..personally I dont think she felt good that day..she really seemed off or a bit out of it..maybe she wasnt feeling well..I'm quite sure that happens to all performers at one time or another..maybe she was exhausted..only she and the group knows..Her other videos of this song are great..rock on Miss Stevie..love ya

Her best friend Robin died of cancer right before this tour. Yes, she's very high, but she's grieving also.

They seem to be as high on drugs as is humanly possible. I mean more than usual. But not just coke. They must have took some kind of depressants to look that numb and deadbeat. Still a great song tho
@staceyrsteele13 жыл бұрын
Sadly compared to her other performances of Rhiannon in 70's this is SO boring and disappointing. Stevie seems so numb, it just lacks energy or something.
@gretschbasher10 жыл бұрын
Lindsay buckinghams tone is crap in this vid, I think it's that weird custom guitar he started playing. He should have kept playing the les paul
