Debbie Gibson is an amazing artist as a teenager she wrote most of her songs and she was not given the same recognition as Taylor Swift because Debbie Gibson is better than any other young generation of artists today she's a huge artist and talent back in the days together with Tiffany, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Gloria Estefan,The Jets, El de Barge, Atlantic Starr and more. Grammys sucks! The 80's era is the best decade of all no nudity, no explicit lyrics, no vulgar words just pure raw and superb talent! Shame on you Grammys. Auto tune is the true equalizer, people who have an idea but maybe not quite the voice can now still showcase something amazing, because technology can bring the vision to life. I’m not a great artist, but technology can help me create something I would never be able to accomplish on my own, even with technology you still need brains. I’m not discounting talent, very few people possess it in but loads, technology helps people who would never succeed have a chance to put out something decent, I call that a win.

@@sonicjrjr14 Exactly? Good catch but I'm pretty sure it's raised an octave or two and at least one cord was inverted. With all the music that's been created over the years it's hard not to have melodies and chord progressions that are similar to others. She may or may not have done this intentionally. Either way it's a good song. All that said this is done in rock and metal music all the time. Music is nothing more than merging what's already been done with something new.

In 1988 I took my daughter to her first concert when she was 9. The tickets cost $20 each and I only had $40. We were standing in line,hoping to get last minute tickets to get in,when a lady came up to us and gave me two tickets close to the stage. So I then had money to buy my daughter a T-shirt ,some pop and candy. Debbie Gibson was only 17 at the time and it was a fantastic show. The last song was ' Foolish Beat' and she rose up from under the stage playing a white piano. A cherished memory. 🤗
