Here in June '24, in the kitchen reminiscing while I cook..... I miss these days, just enjoying life.... Remembering the drama I thought I had and wishing that's all I had to deal with these days.... Those were the best days of my life growing up as a teen and young adult.... Some days I think about my glory days and smile.... Some days I think about them and miss those days so much it hurts.... Same! Heard it twice years ago and the only thing I remembered was the sample at the beginning from a one-2-one advert years ago and tried googling it every now and then over past ten years to no avail. I actually thought it was a Turin Brake's song. @@ghostofyourmom that isn't nearly as far fetched as you think. Alot of corporations own the publishing rights to songs and can use songs for media without permission from the song writers. Disney being the large media company that it is owns the rights to Alot of songs. I highly doubt every song featured in the guardian of the galaxy trilogy was used with approval from the writers. Publishing rights and writing credits are not the same thing.

@jimmorrison9287
@jimmorrison9287 Жыл бұрын
@Lin Zhaolong I'm not overthinking anything. Some people don't understand how the music business works which is OK. Now I don't know about this case in particular, but it's not crazy to think the band didn't expect this to happen. Many media companies own the publishing rights to songs while the band or individual song writer doesn't. It's extremely common, although it is becoming less common since bands aren't as reliant on record companies anymore. It's completely possible this song was put into guardians of the galaxy 3 without the band having any knowledge of it. That being said, they may have known about it too. All I know is that songs get used for media purposes all the time without the original song writers not giving permission. The rights to songs are split into a few different categories, and publishing is one of them, and a lot of times a company owns the publishing rights.

I remember when this song came on the radio for the second time and I ran to the radio to click record on my cassette only recording the last part of the song and telling everyone to shut up, waited and listened afterwards for the DJ to say who sang the song. I was sooo pissed they didn't say anything after but I knew the future would identify riffs and lyrics. Thank God, the future came, I found all those partial songs in the mid-2000s with Technology 😂❤
