Lyrics:
I don't know where I'm going
But I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises
In songs of yesterday
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
Here I go again
Here I go again
Though I keep searching for an answer
I never seem to find what I'm looking for
Oh, Lord, I pray
You give me strength to carry on
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
But I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
Just another heart in need of rescue
Waiting on love's sweet charity
And I am gonna hold on
For the rest of my days
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
But here I go again
Here I go again
Here I go again
Here I go
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams
Here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known
Like a drifter, I was born to walk alone

I was born in the late 70s, so I was a kid in the 80s. Everything about the 80s is a childhood thing to me. When the internet first came out, and I could revisit those 80s childhood memories, it was really neat. But on one 80s video, I saw someone saying how fun it was to have been an adult in the 80s, and I bet it was! I would have been such a fun time to be an adult, or even a teenager. I turned 13 in 1990, so my teens were spent in the 90s, which, honestly, wasn't an espeically interesting time to be a teenager....it was all Nirvana, and grunge music.

And have you thought of where you will go when you die? There is only Heaven or Hell, and we all live again on the other side the second we die here. I chose God by praying, "God, Jesus, Please come into my heart and my life. And please forgive me from my sins because I am a sinner and I have sinned. I am sorry. I do believe that Jesus came to earth and died on a cross for the forgiveness of my sins and he arose from the dead and is alive today. Thank you for hearing my prayer." AND IF YOU REALLY MEAN THIS PRAYER, you will go to Heaven to live with God when you die. I prayed this in 2015 when I thought I was dying and miracle changes happened to me, and my life has been a million times better ever since. I know that when I die here, I will go to live with God in Heaven where it will be more wonderful than any of us can imagine now.

@@lisamattingly453 Yes, the spiral was awesome. Lisa I could not get it to take on my hair. I have super long straight thick hair and for whatever reason did not matter which salon I went to they would charge me almost 3 or 4 times the price and advise me that it may not take and better to have the other type of perm. I started doing it myself at home, trying to get her spiral and I ended up frying my hair and had to back off. She was just natural beauty, long legs, trendy and she had a kind smile. My 54 year old father, a really healthy man, just passed away yesterday. He never said he had a favourite song, but I assume that it was this one, because he loved it. Thank you for being a great person and father. Rest in peace. Edit: Thank you all for the great replies, they're all really nice. I feel way better, and I've gone more over the passing. I still have the shock, but I know my father is always right next to me, no matter if I see him or not. This song was definitely "our" song. We used to go on short road trips the both of us, and I always played this song. He always sang along, meanwhile we drove. Edit 2: Again, I can't thank enough for the kind comments, you're all really nice. Sorry though, if I can't reply to all of you, but I'll try my best! Edit 3: I did not expect to have this many likes for my little story. Thank you so much everyone! Update, I am doing great. Of course, I miss him a lot, he is a missing puzzle piece, but I’ll survive.

Tawny's death absolutely breaks my heart, but I can't say how much Tawny's death breaks my mama's heart. Tawny and my mom were actually real good friends with each other: in the 80s, my mom was dating a musician in the band, Great White, and they toured with Whitesnake for six weeks. My mom got to come. There, with Tawny being married to lead singer, David Coverdale at the time, she met Tawny and the rest of the band members of Whitesnake. Mom has told me that Tawny was not only beautiful physically, but she was an absolute sweetheart. She will be missed. R.I.P. Tawny Kitaen. @@davidBarrel I am only 16 years old, almost 17 but yes, I do want to be a musician when I'm older. Music has only been in my blood, and it's a big part of who I am since my mom has basically grew up in the music industry. She has met and talked with a lot of famous rock stars and blues stars, and had a band when she was in high school - played bass. Music seems to be the thing that I go to, in both the good and the bad. I really do believe that music is a language of its own, and like Don Henley once stated, it's the tribal drum that everyone seems to follow, and that is a blessing in and of itself. So yes, I have a lot of stories to share about my mom (hopefully I have as many as her someday) and it's an amazing thing.

Do not sell yourself short, you are very beautiful today. I meet them in Memphis TN after their concert. The kids at the movie theater wanted to go meat them and I drove them down to the cafe. I said you go look for them and I am gonna sit down. I heard an English voice asking if they could sit down. It David and Tawny. We did small talk and then the kids came over to the table and said we could not find them. I said to David and Tawney, these are the kids who work with me. The kids got their autographs and I told David and Tawney I had to take them all home. I said it was such a pleasure meeting you today. He stood up and shook my hand and gave me his mailing address. I wrote to him and he wrote back. That seems like such a long time ago.

Ya know, this reminds me of a guy I used to know. American but with an Italian sounding name. Yeah, he was a pretty cool guy, he actually worked at a local prison as a chaplain which is pretty cool.
