I remember in the early 70s probably around 72-74 my mom driving in our Oldsmobile to the grocery store in the summer. I was probably 4-5 years old and this song was on my mom smiling and the sun shining into the car. This song brings me back to that moment. It’s amazing the power of music has.

My dad used to play this song all the time when I was young. I’m 22 now and I still remember the lyrics as if it was the first time. I’m grateful my dad had such a good taste in music. Edit: I’m 24 now! When I first wrote this comment I was homeless, now I’m mot. I hadn’t spoken to my dad in 3 years as of the original comment… yet I’ve connected with him again recently. He might be drunk most of the time but he’s still my dad and I love him. I’ve always had a rough relationship with him and my mom but I still remember the good times. Interestingly, I'd always listen to K-DST while flying in GTA SA, and this song was one of the best ones to just cruise through the sky to, same as in a car or on a bike through where ever I was travelling through. Heard this song in the bank today, made me search it now. Damn good track.

This song reminds me of my Dad he played it when I was a child growing up. He died in 2009. We went on a lot of road trips too, good road trip music.

This song makes me cry every time I hear it. It reminds me so much of my depression and the desert of isolation that came with it, at first it was comfortable being alone but then the pain sets in fast. After a while once you have the energy to “let your horse run free” and seek help, it’s like you have a brand new life. You see the world so differently.
