A Rhombic Night Adder who found an oversized toad which happens to be its favourite food and he will not let it go! This toad gave us an awesome opportunity to observe this beautiful snake.
Gondwana has a diversity of snakes, each one unique in its own way. The snakes most often seen on the reserve are Rhombic night adders and Puff adders. Snakes are an important part of the ecosystem. They predate mostly on frogs, toads, rodents and birds and are not likely to harm people unless they are provoked.
