I'm 70 years old and it's sad to know that all the country singers that I grew up listening to will soon be gone. There are not any country singers now days that can or will replace them. I'm just glad KZfaq has this "oasis" for all the real Country Music lovers to visit and still enjoy.

While I agree with you that there doesn't seem to be any REAL country singers coming out of Nashville anymore, there are still several that are based in Texas that are doing some great traditional country. Just to name a few... Amber Digby, Dottie Jack, Justin Trevino, Bobby Flores, Miss Leslie and her Juke Jointers, Jake Hooker, and more. Check them out and see what you think.

Love these two singing together. Traditional country music at it's best. Gene Watson is as good now as he ever was. It is a joy to hear him sing. Taking nothing away from Rhonda of course, she makes my knees weak. (Sigh)

Oh my God! Saw Rhonda in Gstaad Switzerland last Sept…. 2022, the show was superb. I hoped Gene Watson could have been there too but Rhonda was just Magnificent… fab show., I hope she will be back in Europe again!

I'm 71 years old .live in the Netherlands and it's sad to hear that all the country singers that I grew up listening to will soon be gone. There are not much country singers now todays that sing country like it should be. I like the songs by Rhonda or Gene. I can't understand country music what they play now. The good old country is so much better than that stuff they playing today

So agree! That is one of the most important tests of a real Artist, with Natural Talent. Not that some singers that need a little help are not good, but like anyone there are the Exceptional Ones. Just the way it is. Gene For Certain is. Rhonda perhaps is, but like so many, I never knew of her. So many Artists never reach their Potential, sadly! Would be nice for everyone to reach their Dreams.

Gene I saw you in Springfield some years ago. MY Husband of 50 years passed 9 years ago this past April. His mother & Aunt was with us. As lol 5hree of them are gone now. I still miss my Dear sweet Husband. You & Rohnda do a great job singing together. I am PURE COUNTRY & not many our there are Real COUNTRY. Thanks Gene & Rohnda. 3njoyednyour singing together.

That...was perfection! What a great combo and one for country music history that will be enjoyed for years to come. THIS...is true country music. As great as these two are it takes a team to make good music, and too often the band is overlooked and not given enough credit. That is a fantastic band backing them up.
