The Rockford Memorial Development Foundation invites all Rockford Health System employees, physicians and volunteers to participate in the tenth annual employee giving campaign, RHS Family Campaign: Superior Caring, which kicked off September 18 and runs through October 18. Last year’s campaign raised more than $140,000, which included over $100,000 in pledges from more than 500 employees, plus a generous corporate match.
Gifts made to the RHS Family Campaign go directly to the Foundation and are divided into three parts. Half of the proceeds are used to assist employees through the RHS Employee Crisis Fund. To date, the Crisis Fund has provided more than $438,000 in support to employees who have experienced emergencies such as a flood, fire, illness, injury or the death of a family member. The remainder is split between the RHS Employee Education Fund, which provides money for employees to receive education and training, and annual Wishbook catalog items, which bring care and comfort to patients and their families.
