I guess what this music video means to me is that in some relationships, you could be longing for Someone else. I think the change of people is who the other person is really thinking of, while with their current partner. The couples are shown beng intimate, or trying to be..(note in some clips they seem annoyed, or bored/polite, staring off into the distance..) They're longing for that one person who truly made them happy. But its always changing because everyone is always reaching for something more than what they already have.

This video is yes a representation of all the intense emotions BUT the overlapping lovers is the representations of how one may make love to one person in one way and a different way to another. The guy is tender and caring with the first and then pounds the next, perhaps out of guilt or because this new lover is purely an object.

This is gorgeous. I adore this song. But I find the song has a lot of sadness and bittersweetness that isn't really expressed in the video. But that's my one tiny complaint.
