We went to Rhyl near home in North Wales for a bit of a walk around , Anne Marie did a bit of a talk and walk about whilst I took some photos.

@@Memory_Gatherers it's really nice to see I sadly haven't been to Rhyl since the early 2000 when my family had a caravan I think it's definitely a holiday there next year

Couldn't finish the video let alone fancy a visit to Rhyl. I will check another to see if the beach is nice.

Rhyl has a VERY bad reputation here in North Wales 😂.... Lots of druggies about too. The kite surfing on the beach is probably the only good thing there 👍

I think its gotten a bit better since the early noughties because it really was becoming a smack paradise dump. Its lost its identity a little though since the fair etc went and rosies and flannigans all bit the dust. There does seem to be a bit of work going on now to smarten the place up, i just hope it all works out for Rhyl. It has a special childhood place in my heart still.

What a dump we were there last Sunday morning and in not the place i can remember when I was a kid its gone down the pan never again

I wouldnt go to rhyl because i value my teeth. Its got a terrible reputation. You would only go there if you were skint. The best thing the council could do is evict most of the residents and demolish the buildings and start again

its dead sad, Rhyl was so much fun in the 70s and 80s :(
