"Rhythm and Blues" (also spelled "Rythm and Blues"), was a Polish rock and roll band from Gdynia formed in 1958 by initiative of Franciszek Walicki - music promoter, journalist and artist. Filmed during the "Competition for amateur jazz and dance orchestras" in which Rhythm and Blues took first place. It was organized by Sztandar Młodych ("Banner of Youth") newspaper in May 1959 in Warsaw. Because of damaged ceiling in Stodoła club, the event had to take place in a tent.
After some overly enthusiastic audience reaction during concerts later that year, the group was banned from playing in bigger venues. In 1960 it was officially disbanded and Czerwono-Czarni ("Red and Black") was formed in its place, with some of the same members.
