For this episode of Rhythm Roulette, Mass Appeal linked with beat-making maestro Nick Hook.
We're convinced that there's no type of music Nick Hook isn't capable of masterminding. The St. Louis producer went from Cubic Zirconia founder to live MPC sets to now creating music for other artists as well as himself. He also co-produced the first single from our compilation tape. He's not afraid to try new things from scratch and that's what made him such a prime candidate for our next episode of Rhythm Roulette.

Les Sins (I think Chaz could create something cool) 18. Madbliss Some of my personal favorites, I know I'm missing more producers but I think this list would be a cool selection for this series.

Sango is hella dope. Don't see Clams doin it. Kaytranada would be dope too. BBNG is more of a modern jazz trio, can't see them doing any sampling. Ta-ku may be interesting. Mos def wanna see FlyLo. I'd really LOVE to see Sango on an episode.

Purposeful, adds more of a human element to the track (even though it is indeed off beat). You can find some similar stuff in old MF DOOM instrumentals.

i'm gone be honest. i look up to music producers like this. this is pretty much how i've always envisioned myself making beats ... analogue equipment with computer software. tweaking the knobs on a mixer to EQ rather than dragging a mouse ... man, listen.
