Damian...Just wanted to let you know that you are doing a GREAT job teaching your viewers how to play like the legendary T-Bone Walker, the man who inspired B.B. King to pick up a guitar! It doesn’t get any better than that! Keep on pickin’!

Thanks Damian. I really enjoy the Jump/Swing Blues. My late Father used to love it. I took up guitar about 5 years ago - I’m 58 now & I’m very sick now with Hemochromatosis, but I can still play at home & your genre of music makes me feel good.
@Damianblf5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for checking out the lesson 3 Card Monty. :) So sorry to hear about your hemochromatosis, but I'm glad you're still playing and feeling good when you play. Sounds like you're doing a great job being mentally stronger than you may physically feel. I admire that in a person. Keep on rockin' my friend DAMIAN :)

Hey, Damian! I just screen shot that nice G13 chord diagram @ 6:34 & dragged it to my desktop. Every time I drop in to your lessons, I come away with a couple of nice practical takeaways. There's a great version of The T.S. with Texas Fats on Tenor Sax that's a real blast. They harmonize the intro & do some great lines together that really Jazz it up. I'll see if I can find it and send you the link...bet you'd enjoy it. Nice job on this lesson. Your tabs & chord diagrams are so well placed!

Thank you snailspace I have a few of my guitars strung with Thomastik-Infeld flatwounds, but my Dot is strung with Elixir Nanoweb 10-46 gauge. The humidity here in Florida is horrible. Using Elixir's helps me get a little more life out of my strings. :)

So the "T-Bone Walker Chord" omits the root (G) on the low-E, voices the Major 3rd (B) on the 5th string, Flat 5 (C#) on the 4th string, 9th (F) on the 3rd string, and Octave 5th (D) on the 2nd string? Do I have that right? The chord diagram was shown just for a second or two, and when I paused the video it was covered up.
