The rhythmic version of COSMOS firmware allows working with clearly defined tempo, rhythm, loop length and contains regular looper functions.

Thanks for this great demo ! It’s a very nice idea to keep some original firmware’s behaviors with programs 10, 11, 12 and allow to switch with rhytmic/non rhytmic behaviors in a live performance without a change of firmware. Love both of them.

the drum stuff was impressive, but the keys from 05:45 on just overwhelmed me. lovely and inspiring, I want to get (into) that cosmos as soon as possible!

Yes, the last 3 algs are the nonrhythmical ones.

Okay, now Cosmos is essential. Before, it was a strong contender to throw into the unused pre-aux lines in my mixer, but now, with the rhythmic firmware (option?) it's a must. There seems to be a flash drive input in the back, does it load a single firmware from the drive or can you choose which one to use somehow?

Hi Vlad and/or the kind people at Soma, I've got a question regarding the loop lenght. The manual for this firmware does not state the maximum loop length, only that there is one: "If during the first recording and loop definition you reach the end of the sound memory, the loop length will be set to the maximum automatically, and COSMOS will enter overdub mode." So is the sound memory the same as the maximum delay time in the regular firmware (22 seconds) or can it go beyond that?

On the Cosmos no. But you can make it on your mixing console. Or just to use one output that will switch mono mode automatically.

Is he able to record multiple channels by running into a mixer or what? How is he getting all these inputs with only stereo ins and outs on the cosmos?

Yes you can run everything from a mixer into it. I use a sub out from my mixer and then bring the cosmos back in on its own channels. Just make sure you are not sending the cosmos channel to itself in the sub mix.
