RIAT 2022 Departures Day | The best of the 'heavies'

Following on from 'The best of the fast jet departures (link here if you haven't seen that yet - ), here are the 'heavies' departing RIAT 2022. This video features some rarely seen and some soon-to-be retired aircraft like the Luftwaffe Airbus A340 used for VIP transport.
I'm still in shock that there was an E-4 at this air show, and it was great to see it up close as it was pulled out of the static display before its departure.

A lovely collection of aircraft such as the Clank, C-390 and of course the incredibly rare E-4B! Very smooth videography and plenty of details.

I love these close ups ! Thank you so much for sharing ! In my opinion Airbus a340 most beautiful civilian aircraft which visited RIAT

But the a340 is not civilian. It is part of the flight readiness, which in turn is part of the German Air Force

Got to say brazils and japans heavies look awsome , shame RAF didnt bring the atlas, probably on manouvres... Riat is for sure a bucket list....

They did bring one actually. But it couldn’t depart as the runway at Brize Norton had melted!

Did they change the direction of operation of the runway?

Yes. At 1200 hrs all operations were running off runway 27 but in the morning it appeared to be a case of joining the end of the runway closest to where the aircraft were parked!

Subtitles might have been useful for some of the rarer things, perhaps.
