I think this is from a fanfest in 09. Right after this Ric and Harley Race we’re doing an autograph session and the guy who asked the question actually showed Ric a photo of Kerry’s initials on the belt and both Ric and Harley were genuinely surprised

Note he didn't call it a "title" or "championship" once! It is a belt which represents a championship title.

This has to be old footage, because Flair is on his podcast constantly saying that he wants it back from HHH, who has it in his office. And yes, Kerry's initials are on it. There are pictures of it.

This was at the Horsemen Reunion in Charlotte, North Carolina. If the GOAT is saying there are no initials on the belt...and he keeps and has the belt..then why would he by lying for..what's the purpose????

He did say HHH has it. And that he wants it back but I have heard that when he said this HHH have it back but I have no idea what's true anymore. So I'll take Ric at his word with a grain of salt

Absolutely; Garvin held the Big Gold. I don't even know why Flair mentioned him. I liked Ronnie, but he was never the right man to hold the belt.

There was a promo that super star Billy gram said he needed and Billy said it had copper in it it has magnesium in it so on naming things in it and I always remember Ric Flair's promos say it was so many pounds of gold ? Just thought the promo to be interesting because I always thought it was a gold belt on leather. ?

I wonder What would Flair oweing Hogan money have to do with it? Flair had no claims on Big Gold by 1992. And the Daytona thing that Flair refers to is when Russo had Hogan leave with the Big Gold and then Russo brought out another one for Jarrett vs Booker T. So Hogan's had that big gold ever since

Now, there are plenty of photos of the NWA belt with a "KVE" carved into it. In Ric's defense, maybe he does not have the same belt.

But did Ric get his $25,000 deposit back for the belt? That's probably why Crocket didn't ask for it back. Good trade $25k for a belt that cost 200 bucks to make.

I will go on record and say this much...HULK HOGAN NEEDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING...AND GIVE THE ORIGINAL BIG GOLD BELT..BACK TO RIC FLAIR!!! For Hogan to have that belt in my opinion...in an insult and disgrace to the legacy that belt had In the NWA ...especially from 1986 to 1988.

Conrad Thompson, Flair's son in law, bought the belt back around 2019 to 2020. What happened at Bash at the beach 2000 was the belt Jarrett came out with during the Hogan match, was a perfect copy of the original belt and that is the one Hogan took and has at his beach shop in florida. Jarrett then came out to face Booker T, later that same night with the original big gold because it had the dent in the top of the belt, which is how you can tell if it was the original or not because the dent was put on that belt in 1996 or 1997 and that caused them to stop using it for a while. However, in Scott Steiner's first, Second, or Third reign, he got the original big gold and he took it home whenever they gave him the TV replacement, he kept the original at home for a long time. The last version of the WCW big gold, was the one that the WWF used in the alliance story which Booker T beat Scott Steiner for.

The Belt Hogan has at his shop is worth alot of money and if Rick got his hands on it he would lose it ,if his debtors knew he had something of value they would take it or he would sell it when he got broke .It's better of at Hogan's Shop were the public can see it .

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but the big gold belt truly looked like a gimmick to me. Hell, it didn't even have the NWA logo on it. It was one big piece of tin. Made me think that Crockett whined and felt that JCP should have a bigger belt than the AWA one (which had more personality than big gold). I had stopped watching wrestling around 1986, and when my younger brother picked up on it, it was when I saw that big gold piece of foil on a imitation leather. I had to laugh. Goes without saying that this rant is 𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚.
