@@kalbaker9941 Yeah, but it wasn't even the content for me, it was just the delivery. There was no passion in it, the way we got with Flair, it wasn't believable, it didn't feel like he meant it, even when he yelled, he was just yelling to yell. When Flair, or any good promo person really, cuts a promo, they make it seem like they mean everything they say, and this one just didn't do it. If Flair had really cut promos so dry and empty as this actor did, he'd never have gotten over the way he did, and still is. In comparison, the guy that played David von Erich did a pretty good promo, like when he took the mic from Kevin and started in on the freebirds, that was a decent promo.

They gotta get Hulk Hogan to watch this and get his movie made! They almost did it in 2019. Todd Phillips directing. Chris Hemsworth playing Hulk. Netflix dropped the ball someone else needs to pick it up!!!

Everyone complaining just wow. Yeah i immediately thought that guy looks nothing like Flair. But the promo was great i thought the intensity of him talking about "being a man" was great for the scene. And brought me back in. Idk maybe because im not the biggest wrestling fan like i was when i was a kid it didnt bother me so much.

The actor did way better than I expected. I saw that one short of the promo, and that part was really bad, but it seemed a whole lot better when I saw the whole promo. I don’t think people really understand how hard it is to be Flair. Near impossible if you aren’t him. I would have cast Mathew Goode as long as he could bulk up, but Aaron was fine.

They could’ve just had a guy dress up as Naitch and have the real deal dubbed over his performe. That would’ve been better than the guy we got in Iron Claw. He had some of the mannerisms right but his soul wasn’t in it like Flair. Flair would make you feel like he to get these words out and if he didn’t, his heart would break or something. Nothing like the real deal. Only Elvis could be Elvis.

I have seen the match between ric flair and Kevin Von Erich for this promo. If ric flair gets DQ, he loses the title. It's the usual storyline complaint of the Von Erichs. Flair gets the DQ and keeps the title. Anyways flair and Von Erich get a double count out. Then Kevin slaps on the iron claw on Flair and keeps it on flair. His brothers try to tell Kevin to release the claw. Other wrestlers from the locker room come out to force Kevin but the brothers starts punching anybody that comes close. It took Fritz to calm Kevin down. Kevin finally lets go and you can flair is bleeding from the iron claw.

The actor did a great job on this promo. They may not look similar but the actor had an amazing passion and intensity in his delivery, idk what everyone’s talking about that it seemed like a “table read” it was amazing

I mean he said the lines right lol, but that Carolina twang on Ric’s voice is what made it special. Can’t expect him to be like 100% spot on but the way technology is for movies, they used a stunt double and a partial stand in from old footage as well as a dubbed voice for Dr. Loomis in one of the new Halloween movies… eh I guess I’ll take what I can get haha

Jesus who tf was ric flair in the iron claw? Movie itself was fine, but damn they got it so wrong with the nature boy! Also, Kevin was too big in the movie and Kerry was too skinny. Should have been the other way round!
