Great list from Ric. When answering the question previously, I’ve used a similar approach: Best Draw (Austin) Best Worker (Michaels) Best on the mic (Rock) Best gimmick/career (Undertaker/Hogan). Other ways to answer it, most important (to WWE): Sammartino Hogan Austin Cena Personal favourites: Macho Man Michaels Mr. Perfect Kurt Angle

You could argue that the Rock was the biggest draw. But one thing that can not be argued is that the Rock was the best on the mic. Nobody comes close.

@@BishopWalters12 They are all good in their own way. But the Rock had the timing and wittiness that was way ahead of any of those guys. He could have been a stand- up comedian. And yeh he just oozed charisma, but I suppose all of those guys did.

This is my same list the most important thing with these 4 was their longevity and impact and were all game changers, They all wrestled over 30 years with extensive resumes! Definitely the best list!! 💯

Good list, but I’d put someone else like a Sammartino ahead of Macho Man personally considering Savage didn’t spend as long at the very top as others and didn’t do as much for the business in terms of expanding it or being a crazy big draw

I completely understand his picks. Mine is Austin,Shawn,Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair.I agree with him on Shawn being interchangeable with Taker, Rock,. Jericho.. a couple others. I just don't see anyone bigger than Austin, Dusty was so monumental in building the business on both sides of the wars, Ric Flair is undisputedly the longest hardest worker. This man was doing 2-3 shows a day, traveling and living his character for longer than most people have been alive.

Its also a huge mistake to say Austin was a bigger draw than Hogan. In 1999 Austin had the WWF's biggest year, but Hogan had years like that from 1984-1991 and then 1996-1998.

John Cena and WWE beat the shit out of those numbers in the 2000's. If you compare years as "the man" Hogan outdid Austin by a mile. Never believe the Vince Mcmahon company line bs.

Its very hard to settle on a mount Rushmore but for me... •Rock (best personality and growing up my personal favorite, so gotta have him on my list) •Austin (really can't beat stone cold, he really is that huge draw no matter when he shows up, he's like no other) •Taker (hands down biggest "icon" in wwe history, he's truly an immortal within the wwe universe) •Angle (come on, there's no better pure wrestler the wwe has ever had, he was a damn good worker, always gave it all he had and gave such great matches with all the top dogs).... Flair is definitely an honorable mention, as well as many others

I see a lot of people say Hogan made wrestling global, but did he really? In every nation where pro wrestling is extremely popular, and popular enough to have their own promotions and stars - it was popular there before Hulk Hogan. Hogan helped WWF specifically become huge. And by that WWF specifically experienced growth and expansion into international markets. But wrestling was popular in Europe long before Hogan. Ironically the popularity of WWE on TV may have hurt pro wrestling there. Hogan didn't have much to do with pro wrestling in Japan. That was Rikidōzan. It was popular in Canada and Mexico well before him. It's still not big in most of Asia or South America. Maybe WWE's popularity inspired a few guys in India to become pro wrestlers - but it's still not big enough to sustain a decent local promotion like in other areas of the world. So how exactly did he make it "global"?

Dang crazy he said he doesn’t even think Cena is a good worker meanwhile so many of his rivals would strongly say Cena was one of the best workers and knew how to get a certain reaction from the crowd better then anyone.. he even admitted he wasn’t the biggest ring general but was more interested in how to have a connection with the crowd which I think separates Cena by a landslide

My personal Mount Rushmore are: Hulk Hogan (I was born in 79, I grew up with Hulkamania), Ultimate Warrior (yes I know now how bad he was in the ring), Brett Hart (Got me back into wrestling just before the Monday Night War started), Stone Cold Steve Austin (I loved every minute of the Monday Night War).

Is anybody kind of shocked by the names he picked? It's mostly 90's wrestlers. You'd think he'd pick all guys from his era, but he didn't. I guess 90's wrestling really was the peak.

It depends on what criteria you are using. Draw? In ring? Mic? Contribution to the sport? Hogan, Flair, HBK, Taker, Andre, Rock, Austin all belong on the list in some form or fashion.

Love Shawn as the greatest "worker"of all time. Ladder matches, hell in a cell, iron man matches, that chamber thing. All matches Michaels made famous. But Ric got to be on there. Duey, quit & wasn't the top draw when he was "on top".

Born in 97 my personal mount Rushmore would have to be Cena( Best promo), Taker( biggest character), Lesnar (most legitimate and dominate/successful fighter/wrestler), and a tossup between either HBK/Jericho/Flair to round it out . Honorable mentions: Orton, Angle, Triple H, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, Andre, Randy Savage, SCSA, Rock
