Costa would be great signing for us. I think Williams is a dream at the moment. But you have both done the same thing as most do when talking about chelsea and that's forgetting Christopher Nkunku, if he is fit, he is a game changer. Not just goals but quality in the final 3rd.

The step up to the prem could be a jump, but that’s why him coming as a left beck/ understudy to Gabriel and Saliba takes away some of the risk. The reality is, even if we sign a prem defender still does guarantee you the Saliba and Gabriel level because they are that good, but what we do know is that this guy is a top prospect and looks comfortable in these high pressure games. I think the second Romano said we’ve had an agreement with the player, if feel this transfer will happen because I have heard nothing to suggest bologna is demanding a crazy fee

Why do people keep saying that. We were missing timber. Our starting lb. All season. Jesus for months. Partey for 40 games. All arsenal fans want calafiori. He'd be are starting lb. With timber rotating. Lb, rb, cb, l8, cdm. We play mid games for 4 months this upcoming season. We need more squad depth. Probbaly Davies or diamende too. Kimmich. Another cdm. A l8, winger, and cf. I'd bring in calafiori, diamende, kudus, osimen/gyokeres. And Leao or Nico. And probably fofana for the money or onana after player sales. Sell Jesus to Napoli plus money for osimen. Nelson for fofana. Sell esr, nketiah, zini, then loan out kivor to juve or inter. Sell or loan vieria to Girona.

I watched very little of him at Bologna but watched him Vs Juventus and he was unreal. I thought he was right footed only to realise he was left footed. He is an amazing player and he showed it at the euros. He will be great for AFC. White,Saliba,Gabriel,Timber, Tomiyasu,Kiwior,Zinchenko,Calafiori another CB our depth at the back is crazy good..

As an Arsenal fan I have reasons to believe these Calafiori rumour coz we have a genuine need to improve the LB position. Moreover Calafiori got the attributes to be an Arsenal player ..he seems to play in a natural way which Mr. Wenger would always look for in a player.

I really don't understand these guys, they are acting as if they didn't see the improvement of the team from the beginning to the end of the season. They only had one loss in their final fifteen games. They did this with over ten top players injured. At the beginning of the season Jackson missed some open goals that had he made would have put Chelsea in the top four. By the end of the season he was making those goals , top scorer not including penalties for Chelsea.

Your point on upsetting the apple cart is false. Good managers don't break up balances. Sir Alex didn't break up shit unless he needed to, or after things came to a head. Yes, you need to evolve, but you still have to let good team balances persist. Had he not fallen out withStam, he'd have kept him. He kept Yorke for five years before selling him. Saliba and Gabriel have only been together for two seasons. they need more time to cook and are already the best PL centre-back pairing.

I respect dizzy opinion but I think he's way off. I think he would be a great signing for Arsenal he plays a few different positions across the back four & I also think he is a needle mover for me he improves the first team & definitely improves the squad. If Arsenal want to challenge seriously on all fronts, they need players like this to improve the depth

I agree. Ultimately, what tripped us up last year was a lack of trusted depth at critical, busy moments of the season: we stumbled at the end of the busy Christmas period, where everyone looked really physically and mentally jaded; and we stumbled again against Villa in the middle of that crazy April where we had a game every 3 or 4 days. Other than that we were flawless in the run-in. I take Dizzy's point about this maybe not being a huge ceiling-raiser (I mean he'd raise the quality on that left side, sure, but probably not to 'this is the next big evolution of our game' levels), but I really think that raising the floor of the squad across all areas is going to be every bit as important as adding that little bit of magic this summer. Be under no illusions - this season is going to be a real slog! The players are getting no time off because of all the summer tournaments, they're going to get reduced preseasons and we're going to have to cope with the expanded CL format - the teams with the strongest depth are going to have even more of an advantage than usual.
