H.c This comment shows so well how little you know, understand and appreciate about dancing outside of technique and timing aspects. The two parts you don't like so much is where the theatrical, performance and show talent is. They are the only parts that for me are actually entertaining. The rest is great technically but its not alot different to what we've all seen them do in competitions for years. How narrow you perspectives are.

@@joetesta3352 You are always contradicting yourself. In your comment below on the page you very much stress that you DON´T LIKE their theatrical performance in the opening and last part of the show. When I highlighted the actual cha cha cha dance as the best part of the show IT IS NOT because I am uninterested in theatrics. I often comment about them, and praise them if I like them. I simply do not like the theatrics of THIS show even 1 % of what I like their clean dancing (without the show of the showdance). IT IS UNBELIEVABLE that you do not understand WHY I excluded these parts from my liking.

Helge Christophersen don’t bother with Testa as he suffers from a bad case of sour grapes, spite & petty jealousy, especially toward Riccardo, hence the unhinged rants. Riccardo & Yulia have retired from competition as the 10 time Latin Professional World Champions, true masters of dance, so nothing he can say will ever change that fact, accordingly his words are hollow!

Bellabana. Yes 10 times world professional COMPETITON champions NOT SHOW DANCE champions. Masters of competitive dance not show dance. I am a great admirer of what they have accomplished on the competition floor, but I am not equally enamoured by their show dances for the most part. especially their Rumbas and Paso doble. You may see them as perfection but I don't and wont, until they can show me they are (AS A PARTNERSHIP) also supremely skilled show performers and Riccardo for me isn't a show dancer and that's why he leaves practically all the theatrical roles to Yulia because that's her forte not his. He is there to partner a brilliantly skilful lady and he does that very, very well. By the way there are many great dance couple out there and yet you only ever comment on R&Y.why is that? Does no one else's dancing interests you, or is it that you are just fixated on them and no one else even exists? That's as narrow minded as Helge. My unhinged rants come from 4 decades in this sport, (that's possibly longer than you've been on the planet) and I've seen it all dear. Where do yours come from? I've asked you many times before without reply. I suspect by the nature and quality of your comments you have very limited dance background and experience. if I'm wrong then by all means correct me. Other wise stay away from my comments. Got it! being hollow is far better than being shallow.

I love her hair in this. The slicked down to the scalp hair with all that grease is disgusting to me.

Her hair matches the fringe on her skirt. Both showcase the dance itself. Stunning. Pretty sure it was a deliberate choice to highlight the fluidity of her movements. This couple are painstaking when it comes to dance and presentation. You don’t get to be #1 for a decade in a hotly contested competition field by not paying attention to details.

I agree with you. Actually, nearly all their earlier cha-cha shows were more sophisticated and interesting than this one. I used to watch them a lot of times, repeatedely. This cha-cha is interesting too, but I would not watch it more than a couple of times, ok, maybe three or four, but that would be enough. Just for the sake of excellent technic, but this is not what really touches the soul. And the music is rather rough, sometimes it can be even getting on ones nerves. This kind of music is very different from really passionate latin songs or just neutral ones that can be coloured by dancers themseves as they want it to be.

I'm pleased to know there are other that see it as I do and i fullyagree about the music. I believe they have to do better as a show dance couple, or they may as well hang up the shoes for good, because they are relying on their popularity and tremendous competitive achievements to sell tickets (so to speak) which no one can deny them. However as show dances go they are still offering up the same stuff they have done for years, and I'm done with that because in terms of show routines and performances go there have been many that are far better imo. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I like some of their show routines. I'm not a fan of a lot of others. I didn't like this routine at first, but Yulia is doing a better job of getting into the character of the dance now than she did in the past. It's still not one of their best though. My favorite cha cha show routine by them is the cola cha cha.

To many of you are watching to much strictly or your countries version of it don't forget it profession that runs these shows and comps and don't forget there are rules what's dancers can put into their dances
