Ingredients Needed -
- 1 cup bisquick mix
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

I have a great rice cooker and have made a few cakes in it. Usually around the holidays. Friends and family are always surprised by a 'new' type of cake. Nope, just a different cooking method. And they're so moist, I don't really even need the icing on top.

LOL lol....your exclamation when the pancake popped out all golden brown. "It's Darling!....if a pancake can be called darling" lol. That was so cool. I am experimenting with a pressure cooker but it does all the other things too - steam, bake, slow cook, saute - so probably can do any of the recipes you try. Thanks, Craig! Good day to you too.

I add a bit of extra vanilla extract to my bisquick.....it already has some vanilla extract in it, but NOT enough.....i also mash a banana with a fork and add that to the batter....but what i learned from watching the cooks on food nextwork....with baking you add the liquid a quarter at a time.....especially if you add extra liquid like extracts or mashed fruits.....it is easier to add more, when needed, than it is to take out, if you put too much...i also put my bisquick throught a cake airater.....it helps break up the part of the bisquick that lumps together....makes it easier to wisk it smooth

I tried cornbread right after I watched this video. It came out so good! So fast and easy. I just used Jiffy mix. Took about 13 minutes.

Craig!!😂 Half batch? Split it into two layers... Bavarian creme in the middle and chocolate on top=Boston Cream Pancake! Full size? Split into 3 layers like a torte and put whipped cream and strawberries between the layers and drizzle strawberry glaze on top maybe just one dollop of whipped cream and one whole 🍓 to top it off... Or or do one layer 🫐 blueberry and one layer 🍓 strawberry torte for the 4th of July 🎆🎉 Special Occasion rice cooker pancakes... Yes my mind is still going 🤣🤣🤣☕☕☕

They were probably so much more dense because you whisked a bit too long. You don't need to worry about small lumps, but if you whisk the batter too long, you beat the air out of it, and the pancakes won't come out as fluffy as they should.

Very nice and yummy. I wonder if it could be made in an insta pot or slow cooker. I don't currently have a rice cooker. I also wonder if they can make/ use cake batter instead. The cake mixes that come in a box. Thanks

I tried it in the instapot using the instructions from the official instapot website. After just a few minutes the instapot started beeping and showing “burn” on the display. After this, I checked around online and found that many instapot users have had this experience. I will definitely be digging out my rice cooker . It seems much safer!
