Pasta is my weakness. Not surprisingly my doctor told me I needed to cut down on carbs. I’ve since switched to a high protein, high fiber diet, have increased my movement and am getting more sleep. I’ve been on this journey since the end of December 2023 and have seen some great results so far 😊

Kryptonite is sugar. If I let myself slide and have a little - it turns into an avalanche that I can’t stop. So staying away from sugar and sweets is so vital. Also I’m a sucker for bread and pasta. My way of overcoming this is by meal prepping ahead of time. No surprises and no opportunity for me to make a poor choice. Goal is to get to the gym Monday (completed), Wednesday and Friday this week before the kids get up. Tomorrow makes us half way through the week - stay focused!!

Since last week I was able to bring the two meals from home. Next I am planning to add reducing my soda intake by one a day for the rest of this week and continue to drink more water. Thanks for the pep talk.

Thanks for the video!Make small changes and drink plenty of water. Things will change.Walk about 20-30 mins. About 3-4 days a week. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Determination is a key! Living your life is also very important! All in moderation 😊

THANKS for the video. I appreciate the community that is developing here. Part of my Lenten sacrifice has been intermittent fasting and that is going well. I have started doing HIIT workouts to improve heart health and lower bp and my goal is to complete 3 this week.

Hi Adam …. First , I am so proud of you doing this. And I want to thank you again for all your support and hard work…. As for me , my goal is doing well. My wife and I are starting to walk everyday and this week getting rid of the cookies we have in our freezer !! ( not good after our dinners ). Also , will work on your soda 🥤 …. Weekly goals were not met with perfection, but I did well. I have two weaknesses, sweets and snacks (chips, crackers, etc.). Craisins are a great option, as are carrots. I’ve got more changes to make! Let’s go!

Hi Adam! For my first change, I have replaced all white grains (Bread / Tortillas / Pasta / Rice) with Whole wheat / Brown grains. I still have a small piece of chocolate with lunch but doing that reduces the craving that causes me to binge eat a whole chocolate bar. Since your last post, I’m down 2.5 lbs but even more important, I’m sleeping better. Next goal, walking 3 times / week while running lines and learning songs for my next theater production.

Hey Adam, thanks for the pep talk. I need to be reminded often that the food I eat literally depends on my life. I am a diabetic. I get so depressed sometimes but I've managed to find a somewhat even balance. Thank you for being there to remind me for all I have to live a healthy life for.Your doing great, keep up the good work.

You look great, Adam! I like that shirt! Well, I am still struggling with sugar(candy). My class has been taking a state assessment this week, and we have been getting candy encouragement cards from other classes. With the stress, I’m not doing great keeping away from it all. Now that the weather is getting warmer here in Indiana, I’m planning to walk after school. I’m hoping that will help me with the stress of the day. Thank you Adam for being so transparent with your weight loss journey!!

Ice cream is my downfall along with chips. I haven’t had ice cream since Ash Wednesday..really wanted some last night! I’ve also for the most part stopped drinking soda. I just don’t feel like I’m losing weight and I need to so badly…very frustrating 😞. I’m going to try the items you showed Adam! Thank you for these tips and heartfelt streams ❤

Bread is my downfall. I could eat it all day. Maybe I will try the rice cakes instead. I am Tyoe 2 diabetic and my goal is to not be one lol.

Living in your area is not easy...... with all the food places, I guess cut back and little at time, you will lose the weight..... sugar is main issues....... Take your time

My downfall is making meals for just me. I need to do better with meal prep and maybe then it wouldn’t be so bad. I have gotten a little better about eating earlier, but still some work to do. Unfortunately, this is a marathon and not a sprint to make life changes. 🤦🏼‍♀️ As far as the mirrors go, I think the mirrors are tilted. When a mirror is tilted down and towards you, it will make you look longer and thinner.
