Body building has become a sub-division of drug addiction.

80s to 150s in 10 days! Imagine what that will do to the tendons, and ligaments. This is one of the issues with steroids, that young people should understand. The muscle will get bigger, and stronger very quickly, but tendons take years to develop properly. In 10 days tendons that can normally only handle 80 pounds, are now hoisting 150. It is like taking the rigging, motor, cables, etc. off of a steel crane, and putting it on a wooden crane. The motor can handle it, but the crane will collapse. There definitely is something different now days, as back in the 80s guys were huge with v tapers, now days gyms are full of guys who look like someone put a garden hose up their ass, and filled them with water.

Did my first cycle of gear in 83 ,just 100 Anapolon 5mg tabs from syntex labs . Then my second cycle in 85 i did Anapolon again with Halotestin 5mg tabs (upjohn). up to 4 tabs of each per day .I had 10 amps of Organon Deca-Durabolin-50 and took 2 per week . I was more than happy with results. In later years 90s, Pronabol-5 was a favourite here in uk ,i used it a few times on its own and was well impressed .

Rich is a great guy but its crazy, seems he got 10 years older the past two years.

Drugs are exactly the same, problem is their source. Only "licensed" (FDA or equivalent outside US) pharmaceuticals are "trustable", in terms of drug's composition. Nowadays many people gets all these substances from unknown eastern factories/sources.

I remember parabolin back in the late 80's. It was in ampules and you snapped the top off 76mg /ml.

Where is a good and trusted place to get steroids

I considered juicing when i plateaued after years of working out, right around the same time these videos were coming out regularly. Happy I decided to stay natty. Rich was an absolute gem of a human being but was unfortunately addicted to becoming a monster, at all costs. And now he's gone. It becomes an addiction like any other.

One of these guys died at 46...the other at 76. I wonder why...

by my experience taking non bb medication is that if your body sees something too much it will give side effects and it might not work very well too so i think ric has a very valid point.

I was a power lifter and converted to OL at age 37.. Starting back OL now at 55.. Never juiced but I will tell you I got up to 120 lb dumbbell flys for 3 reps at my best...I quit powerlifting partly because of having to compete against juiced opponents. I love OL though and wish I started in my teens.

It's true. Same thing happened with pre-workouts. In 2005-2010, pre-workouts were wild. Now, it's just a sweet drink and a few tingles.

I admire Rick for his passion, he wasn't that great to speak of far as being some kinda renown body builder. He'll my Uncle never lifted a weight in his life but Dam was he naturally amazeing, he was an actual natural muscle body fanomon, honestly would have made Rick look weak. Rick put himself in the game because he loved the commerodery and passion for it, thats what made him famious it wasn't his body build...passion goes a long ways. We miss you Rick

With all due respect Ric, why interview a guy about working out and "getting big" when he had a doctor inject his muscles with liquid glass gel PMMA? Doesn't that just feed into his illusion or body dismorphia? Did you ever discuss this with Rich?

Hey Ric, given the relatively little information and knowledge there was about steroids back in the late 60's and early 70's, how common was it for you guys to experience side effects like gyno and low sex drive and how did you guys deal with it since I'm assuming post cycle therapy or testosterone to avoid estrogen wasn't a common practice.

Rich is a perfect example that steroid users don't die in their "Mid 40's" the man is 70 years old and looks great and healthy!! Good for you man!

Ric-- instead of Celebrex maybe you could try 'gabapentin' ?I used to take Celebrex many years ago until it was taken off the market so my Doctor put me on Gabapentin-- been taking 7-9 daily, 300 mgs , I take 3 times a day- morning, evening and at night with my Lipitor-- so 2100-2700 mg daily

These are too very honest intellectual men. They should be speakers and educate the public about steroids and the good old days and how things have changed you know give speeches at places like Princeton University and the like.

Another important thing which Ric and Rich didn't mantion (probably even more important than gear) is Food. Back in 70s everything was much better quality, organic without all chemicals we pomped into animals and veg. to make it grow faster...and cheaper.

You have some very good underground labs out there but I think the problem is all the powders come from China. So who really knows how potent they are. A lot of labs do test potency but I find it hard to believe they do it for every batch.

Serious question, if you got in a fight what would your game plan be? Put 'em away quick, or could you last and make it a brawl? How good are you at moving that impressive mass around? Answer the age old question once and for all, what would a bodybuilder actually do in a fight?

It's just mind blowing to me people still take all that shit or put garbage in their bodies. I Just learned about this rich guy a few hours ago and he seemed like such a smart guy too. Very sad he probably could have done alot more good in the world if he got off it.

More likely that resistance to the drug is the reason. (Aside from people selling products undermine wrong name).

I did drug free powerlifting way back..dumb sport but my max on the fly, just an exercise for fun that was part of a workout, I got up to 120 lbs per hand at a body weight of 80-85 kg

First off...if the steroids ARE LEGITIMATE...than THE dosage on the label has to be, BY LAW, what's in the drug...again, are they truthfully legitimate and pharmaceutical steroids made by legit companies. That is a law by our government regarding ANY MEDICATION that people take. If they are made by someone than all bets are off.

why buy street stuff when you can get the pure stuff at the pharmacy? depending where in the world you buy it 250mg of test costs like 4 dollars
