Hey to be fair to Minnesota (and in turn the Raiders), their defense is 2nd (!) in DVOA since week 7 or 8 I think. So while they're mediocre overall, the defense is really good. But yes, still one of the worst losses in NFL history.

This looked and felt different to the Broncos 70 point beat down. The Broncos looked out matched, overwhelmed, they were just getting out played by a superior team. The Chargers looked like they had given up before the first snap, like they weren't even trying, hugging instead of tackling, going half speed, moving aside on blocking assignments, blowing coverage' etc. This was a protest by the Chargers rosters, they had to have been below rock bottom. Ex-NFL players brought up an interesting point, their poor plays last night are on tape forever and players never EVER want to put bad plays on tape if they can avoid it. So to do this means they were way past frustrated with Staley.

Also the issue with the first raiders game, The one that decided whether the chargers or raiders would go to the playoffs, wasn’t the fact that the chargers lost. I literally turned my back on the TV twice for 2 seconds and missed TD's. What's amazing is that neither team had been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but one team went for the throat, while the other one was a bunch of guys making business decisions. The Chargers once again folded when they could have effectively ended the Raiders season, but instead, they made the best case not to wait another 3 weeks to fire their coach.

As someone who had been a fan for so many years when they were in San Diego, my opinion is that Dean Spanos is the problem. He got his LA wish and would not spend a dime on a good coach. That is sad considering they are only paying $1 a year renting out the Sofi stadium. But then again, they have been making bad decisions since the Ryan Leaf days. They know how to waste great talents like Drew Brees, LaDainan Tomlinson, Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates. They are doing the same to Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen. The organization is downright pathetic and you should just look up at the top to see who is running it.

Herbert should have never ever resigned with the chargers. He should have tried to make a better way for himself through free agency.

Now you know why Eli wouldn't play for Chargers when they drafted him. Spanos is right up there with Davis when it comes to crappiest owner title. (Eli won 2 Super Bowls in NY)

They're gonna sell Herbert for picks, trade up to #1, and get Caleb Williams and Lincoln Riley

Herbert is much better than Caleb Williams tho. Herbert plays better on the football field. He actually acts like a real man.

If Mark Davis sends Antonio Pierce packing, he's a fool. Don't "but Harbaugh!" me. Mark isn't exactly rolling in cash (NFL owner wise) and Harbaugh's gonna want top dollar. Plus remember the last time the Raiders fired a popular interim coach to make a splash hire? How'd that work out?

Sometimes I feel like Rich is paid by the NFL simply to smooth out bad looks. The Chargers didn’t fire Staley because they have a better chance with an interim, they fired Staley because the locker room gave up on him, and the owners aren’t going to trot out an effectively striking team two games in a row. Its bad for the product, and it’s bad for the fan base

Two comments: Rich is the only person surprised the Charges fired Stanley; 2) The Broncos are not in a playoff run, they are in the hunt to make the playoffs.

How could you be shocked Rich? They have an elite franchise QB and he's being wasted. Too many issues with Staley's coaching.
