I met a girl after a lengthy hospital stay and living in housing for homeless vets. Was just starting to work about 16-20 hrs a week. When Easter came along her parents invited me to dinner. I felt ackward and embarrassed through the whole visit. When they dropped me off her mother told me, not to worry, you make her happy that's what is important. That was 18 years ago.

The guy who threatens her for marrying her just goes All SCARED on seeing a guy who was rich but now broke? This story does not even make sense through Heavenly Standards!

We underestimate the fact that banks are corporate entities also governed by greed. Since 2020, the banks have been over-leveraging their assets, which was one of the reasons for SVB's implosion. I have never been okay with keeping much money in the bank. I simply invest through my financial advisor, collect my profits, which I then spend.

I'm really worried about the current bank crisis. If a bank as big as SVB could fail, I fear for a lot more. I know a friend who is running a high-growth startup, and was badly hit by the bank run. I have pulled out more than $340k from my bank. After all, the FDIC covers only up to $250,000, and the implosion could have bad effect. Looking to invest into the stock market now. Does anyone know how I could go about it?

I agree, having a brokerage advisor for inveesting is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $850k with the help of Sir Greg T. Martin fx from an initial $120k investment

If they wanted to pay everyone "their" money, which the banks don't have, just as they don't have the GOLD that people think they invest in and that they only own it virtually, the banks never owned it and don' t! If people were to choose their physical gold, no one would ever have it! It's not genius, it just affects you through the online market, but you don't have real passives ;-)

True, but for couples with difficulty in economy, sometimes, just sometimes, loving each other is a perfect, distracting escape for them. While it is not ideal, sometimes love can make things better even just for a while. But if it helps, even if it's in the most little form, it helps. But of course it's not a solution, but for couples like that, love makes things a little easier. Yeah, well, as long as their relationship isn't toxic, of course :')

Very, very good story! I didn't see that twist coming at all. So clever. (I once dated an apparently homeless lady. She was so much more intelligent than I was/am. Sadly, she had drug problems, and was thrown by any hint of stability.)

It grinds my gears to hear people call homeless men bums. Just because a man is homeless doesn't make him a bum, last I check bums don't work they bum around asking for hand outs instead of working for it themselves. Teenagers 16 and older without jobs are bums if they're not going to school full time

These shorts are excellent. Some comments say she is hypocritical regarding money. I think she was born into money, and she's using it here to make a point about not to shove money down her throat. I like this story line.
