I said "Just because I'm an American you think I'm rich; you think all Americans are rich?" They replied "No, of course not. If your still working and only have a limited amount of time for vacation, you might be a fool to waste to much time worrying about money. On the other hand, rich or poor, you may need to slow your roll if your retired or semi retired with no time constraints. As a retired guy you might be a millionaire, but you still better have a budget or you wont be a millionaire for long hanging out in that town.

Lots of Filipina have fears about foreigners. Another reason they don't want to leave the Philippines..
