Needed this tonight. 6 days from Christmas and not one gift under our tree. I have ALWAYS pulled Christmas off some way or another, but this year has definitely tested me. I have 3 kiddos & 3 grand babies and nothing to give them when they come in. I hate it, but I literally have no way to make it happen. My kids are understanding, as they are not babies, but as a Mom, I can’t help but feel like I’ve failed. This message helps a little.

The gifts are not what is important. All that matters is that you can enjoy spending the holiday season with them. I’m sure the kids will understand. The year before last I couldn’t get my granddaughters any gifts but they didn’t care. They told me they just wanted to play with me. You sound like a great mom. You did not fail them at anything. I’m sure mom and dad got them some gifts.
