Such a lovely, heart-warming story. I happen to be in a similar situation. I’m Canadian teaching English in Japan. I lost my full time job due to Covid and have been unemployed for the past few years living on minimal savings and some little part time work. I have wanted to buy a laptop computer in order to market myself as a writer and editor, but I haven’t had the extra money to afford to buy one. So this type of financial hardship does happen to people. You have such a kind heart. So nice to see someone helping people.
