Now in my mid 30's I look back and see clearly. My first serious girlfriend in my very early 20's , I did ALOT for and gave up some irreplaceable things because I loved her. Let me tell you something, I never in my life felt that kind of depression and led me on a dark emotional path, however..... I picked myself back up during late 2011, into 2012. I started a few businesses and met new friends, Got into the greatest shape I've ever been in and started going out. I soon noticed everywhere I went, Women were approaching me and I was constantly hearing how Hot i was, so what did I do? My bed count is definitely close to 100, (Ok maybe 70+) but i've been a bachelor ever since and I keep a rotation of beautiful Women and let them all know I don't do relationships anymore. They understand and we have great sex. The dark side now is I am now "the other Man", I've been with many Women who I later found out either have a boyfriend or a fiance which gives me ever more reason to stay single. Essentially what you end up with is... a woman who's unhappy because shes having to settle with an equal and a man who completely adores her and wants to give her his whole heart. She has nothing left to give and has a wall built around her heart because shes left bitter by her previous choices and thinks all men are the same. She no longer has the ability to pairbond. The man in this situation is finally pairbonding with a woman for the first time and thinks shes experiencing the relationship the same way he is, but that couldn't be any further from the truth. I suppose if men always got to have any women we wanted and women we consider above us were always acting as though they really wanted to be with us.... I suppose we would cop an attitude of disposability toward women as well, however, if said women never wanted anything more than sex and would not pursue anything deeper..... I don't think it would take 10 plus years for men to get it in our heads that these women were playing us and continue to make the same mistakes over and over while never accepting responsibility for our decision to do so or our involvement. Women have a very hard time accepting responsibility for their actions and will seek high and low to justify or rationalize what they've done in order to maintain victim status...regardless of the facts surrounding involvement. Feelings equal facts with a woman rather than "The Facts" taking precedence.

I see them checking me out, even when they are with another man. I had been ignoring that to make it easier to settle down, I suppose. But it really hit me yesterday. A man who settles down is effectively saying to his future wife, "I am done striving. This is the level at which I am comfortable." Of course that is unattractive to the woman. A man who doesn't settle down is effectively broadcasting the opposite, "I am not done striving. I can achieve more, attain to more, make myself more desirable, earn greater access to opportunities." It just kind of clicked and I had a peace about it. This is just the way we are.
