+Ted LaughsAtCreationists (of atheism?) Are you the first one at typing from a prison cell? Do you have any friends who are not confined to your way of thinking? A prison cell and hell, is the mind of any man who refuses to live in the spirit of truth in peace and love for all fellow humans. All those who think they are better and greater than Jesus and also think they are the all of existence and life, above our true God to love and worship.

+Truth Beforeself It's hard to believe myself better then someone I don't believe in, but if we are going there then yes, I'd say what Jesus did was a horrendous act. I never wanted someone to die for me. He didn't even die anyways according to the bible as he rose from the dead after a while. It's all really a horrifying story. Btw I've seen your comments all over the comment section, stop using "truth" as a bias standpoint. It's your truth and you have no right to call what others believe to be false unless you can prove it.

MrJizzy181! Yes I am funny and very happy in life, because i have learned through Jesus, not through Christianity or any other such religious practices, but through only Jesus alone, how to be better than self and therefore how to live in the spirit of truth in peace and love for all fellow humans. Where we are all fellow humans and exactly the same colour under the skin! ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.’ - Jesus at Matt. 7: 13-14.

"Atheist" just another label to stamp us with when we don't conform to the buybull and ReLIEgion. Those of us who are AWAKE and searching for answers. I've read the bible myself twice. I've researched what I didn't understand and discovered that it was a coded rule book for THEM, we're the cattle, subjects, gentiles that's described in it. There are certainly misguided people that call themselves Atheists, but the same can be said of Theists, and it's not always their religious beliefs (or lack thereof) that make them this way. The animosity between our two viewpoints is perpetuated by the belief that they can't coexist. I believe they can. However, I think they should certainly know their respective places.

@Gaytony For the average non Judeo-Christian it doesn’t make sense, because God is not, in their minds, the omnipotent, omniscient, being that he is. The Sabbath was a day that God set aside for the Jews, that happened once a week, in which they would not work, and its purpose was so that they would meditate on God and pray to him. God made the law because relationship with him is one of the most important things ever for a Judeo-Christian; for us, if we don’t meditate on God, we will very much likely fall into sin and temptations, and that’s why God cares so much about us keeping the Sabbath.

What’s actually mind-boggling is that the Original Sin doctrine goes on, even though the main purpose of Jesus being crucified was to clense us from the original sin. And yet they preach the original sin like that was still a real thing. If you’re a jew, sure, believe it and act accordingly. If you’re a Christian? The original sin was when Adam and Eve discovered they were naked and covered up. The vengeful God hated the thought of them knowing it was wrong to be naked as He had made them, and He threw them out of the Garden of Eden, after a number of ill disguised threats. The other sins are the sins of breaking any one of the ten commandments. Or the many thousand other commands written in the Bible.

The lieble is the truth because the lieble says so. All of the lieble is contained within a few hundred pages and it explains everything. Alternatively, volumes and volumes and volumes of thousands and thousands of books by thousands and thousands of authours about many, many different topics and sub-topics and sub-sub-topics on literally hundreds of millions of pages which have been scrutinised and tried to be proven false repeatedly are all wrong because the lieble says so. What? The lieble doesn't say so? Oh. Well all these other overwhelming proofs must be true, then. But that's a contradiction, is it not? The lieble is the truth because the lieble says so, and the lieble doesn't say these other overwhelming proofs are false, so these 2 contradictory things are both true. Hm. Kif, we have a conundrum. I have no idea about the existence of the Universe. The mind is the focus of the Bible, and many other "religious" texts. Our beliefs, whether true or not shape us, psychologically speaking. Our psyches are formed by many experiences and beliefs garnered from knowledge. Some of that knowledge comes from outside of us, and some of it is produced from within. Many believe things that simply are not true, consequences follow. Cause and effect are always in play. Some see God as the Universe itself, with all of its powers, forces, energies, and laws of nature that govern all things within it. Perpetually forming and transforming matter and energy. Some see God as our own mind, not the brain, but the "ghost' in the machine. It guides us throughout our lives, for better or worse, depending on the state of a person's psyche. Our psyche is the supreme force and power that affects all aspects of our life. There are many messed up folks in the world. A damaged psyche does no one any good. Think of the throne of God as being in your skull. That is where everything you know and experience exists and is stored and all is processed. The mind is the driving force, how we put it to use determines our fate. Conceptions are born out of the mind. A virgin birth is that which is born out of a pure, uncorrupted mind. I would write Dawkins and Jesus and My Cat and Humpback Whales and on and and on and on......... be > than God. As a scientist, I however, have arguments with Dawkins--but that is within the parameters of free debate: Dawkins, however can get Dogmatic in his scientific views--my arguments with Dawkins would be in science areas He was as brilliant as Dawkins, and it was ONLY a mass of idiots that made their own BS Jesus. If Jesus was alive today he would denounce utterly the God of the O.T, and all the liars and fictionalizers that made him into a Superman, when in fact he never did one miracle in his life. never organized a last supper, and that in fact there never was a eucharist ritual( lifted from Mithraism, in about 100 C.E) and NEVER said he would be crucified buried and be resurrected on the third day.Nor did he say a damn thing for creating a new religion, he for instance NEVER said to Peter you are the Rock on which I found the new church; That is a 100% premeditated lie put in the bible well after all the disciples were dead. Dawkins, via his scholarship, knows all this, he attacks the lies build up around Jesus, but NOT Jesus , that is the Real Jesus I agree Dawkins is > than the God the O.T , which thus includes the Houses orthodox of Judaism/Christianity and Islam.. Dawkins is a scholar of what he attacks and found Iconic Mythic Jesus is A Being Mankind Created but in FACT NEVER existed. But one thing we do know The Real Jesus NOT once refers to his "god" as the Creator of Earth, and in saying" BELIEVE NOT in this Earth", he is denouncing the God of the O.T. that keeps ranting he is The Creator of Earth. Jesus only recognized Nature, and felt both sorrow for it, and immense love for the innocent. He never spoke of Original Sin,, and said to find godliness you MUST discover the seed of godliness first from WITHIN yourself and kneeling and worship, means nothing if you are not good within. There is no getting around it, aside from the cry for justice, he was largely Buddhist in in his teachings. There is NOT a word here I have written in this post that that scholar Dawkins would dispute.

Jesus told us to treat our neighbour as you would have yourself treated and I’m assuming you wouldn’t want to be raped, enslaved, tortured etc. Slavery isn’t wrong in the Bible but it does tell the masters to treat and love their slaves. God would never encourage slavery if it hurt, killed or mistreated the slaves, that’s human nature which causes that.

This reminds me of the story of the astronomer and a church minister: “What’s your occupation?” the minister asked.“I’m a professor of astronomy. And what about you?” “I’m a pastor,” the minister answered. The astronomer shifted a bit in his seat and then confessed, “I used to attend church when I was young, but my wife and I don’t go very often now. But the way I look at it, the Bible is pretty simple. It all boils down to ‘Get along with your neighbors and stay out of trouble.’” “That’s interesting,” the pastor noted. “I feel the same way about what you do. For me, astronomy all boils down to ‘Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are.’”
