Having "brand loyalty" or tying a brand somehow to your "patriotism" only shows a lack of intelligence. Brands are not loyal to you, nor your country. GM and Ford the "'Murican" brands close more and more plants, yet BMW, VW, Honda, Toyota, KIA and other foreign makers open more plants in the US. So... Which one is the American brand?

pablomax3045 just remember your words when your BMW breaks down and you are spending several thousand dollars on each car repair. they are money pits just like most luxury cars and over engineered cars. also trace their roots back to nazi slave labor. while on the other hand the jeep was a hero in ww2 in helping defeat the Nazis. I have no problem being loyal to a vehicle that has hardly changed in eighty years. and only gets better each time it's revised. the wrangler is the best off road vehicle and always has been

I understand you are American and thus given to forming a strong opinion without the need for any factual information, but still. You should at least try. And wait... Are you saying that a performance vehicle which costs upwards of 70k is more expensive to maintain and service than a car that costs 30k? Amazing! I wonder if a 777 engine is more expensive than a Piper cubs? Your Wrangler is made by Fiat. An Italian company. Italy was a member of the Axis. The Axis were the "bad guys" in WW2. Jeep today, literally could not be further than the original if they tried. Interesting fact... Many of the WW2 Jeeps were made by Ford. 280k of them in fact. It was a willies design that was used. Willies took that design and marketed it to the public after the war, as it proved very popular with troops. I actually drive a Wrangler. It is my 5th.
