That’s one way to look at it. Go watch the video of the rimac hill climb where he crashes. From the start he looks terrified behind the wheel. So he knew the car was too much for him and his driving skills. Yet he still chose to push it. It was selfish on his part. Glad he’s okayc but Guaranteed if it was his car he wouldn’t have pushed it.

Looks and performance! It's not all about the straight line. This thing hugs the turns like no other electric car. The idea of swappable batteries is ideal for a race track-specific EV. You'll have your batteries swapped out in the time it takes them to change out the tires. Meanwhile, the competition is plugged in waiting 15+ minutes for their batteries to recharge. Now if I only had a few hundred million lying around I could finally fit into an RC car that I've been dreaming of doing since I was little.

I cannot believe more electronic devices with rechargeable batteries don't allow standardized size batteries with swap capability. Cell phones being a big and major example of this simple technology to save people's time. We used to have double a triple a c and d batteries that were somewhat standard in all electronics. But for cell phones, every model even within the same manufacturer requires its own specific battery. And many of them don't even want you to take it out easily and solder it shut inside the case.

The pace at which these EV hypercars are progressing is mind bending. We went from 600 to 800, then 1000, 1300 and now 1900+ HP with the Rimac! This is a small sliver of time where there's still competition between EV & ICE. Given another decade, EV will be truly in a different galaxy.

Ontop of horsepower BEVs also just have better Mass Distribution, Flexible Packing more space for better suspension & chassis bracing, then fine throttle control. The inherent qualities of a BEVs makes them great Driver's Cars with far more agile handling than though possible with it's high weight. Total Sprung Weight does not dictate handling, it's how the mass distributed in what shapes which dictates handling. the limiting factor is not tech but our own evolution, our eyes, hands, reflexes, etc just haven't kept up to the advances, thats why cellphones all look the same now, not like we have extra fingers or hands to take advantage of anything more innovative they can do, eventually the cars will be too fast for us to control, so either give the control to the AI or limit the car to a point where we can safely control it. Tech will keep improving, which is amazing, we are a bit slow.

That invoked a rather curious mental image for me... Imagine the roads of near future. Instead of normal cars going about their business at normal pace while producing moderate rumbling and super- / hypercar jockeys blasting past them with motors roaring, now we have glorified golf carts you can have a normal vocal intensity conversation in with little isolation... and "Hammonds" on these silly contraptions only barely not taking off, all the while screaming their lungs out. You just sit there having a chat with another passenger and then from behind you there is an approaching hysterical shouting, followed by a glimpse of a "hypercar" zooming past.

has he ever driven one???? Most of this footage is fake!!!!!!> Why do I say this? +look at 1.06.. the hyper warp outside the car confirms it... that is totally doctored by VFX. +Also.... the amount he is moving the steering wheel compared to the speed out the window DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!!! +One minute he is breaking in a forest... then stops in a field. (F OFF) + the fact he is looking at the camera talking (not the road) when movin at hyper-warp speed. +Nurberg footage is real (because he is not driving)>" +note you never see him in the car driving like top gear would show. +The fact it's fake footage is all covered up with fake camera shakes and editing to distract from the fact its fake. +You can also tell from the lighting outside the car compared to inside the car. +1.44 looks ridiculously fake .. steering wheel and hands have been blurred to match the fake 3d simulation footage outside,. Not saying the car isn't fast .. Richard Hammond has probably just been Paid a F TONne on Money ... to pretend he is driving it. Looks like Richard Hammond has sold OUT!!!!!!! Just my professional opinion.

@@englishwithteachermarius5950 Its a track car, basically changing tires but with batteries, allowing easy access and replacement of them during a race can save you the few crucial seconds/minutes you need to gain the lead or to drive the car for longer. At the same time the old batteries are still usable and can be used after the second set has been dried so that you can actually drive your 1.1 million pound car for longer instead of waiting for it to charge up.
