He’s back where it all began. Richard Madeley is returning to the This Morning sofa today, to tell us about enacting vengeance in the Cotswolds… in his new novel ‘Father’s Day’. We’ll be finding out about his life away from the camera, as a bestselling author, and he’ll be revealing how he’s finding those early GMB starts, after previously vowing he’d never do morning television again.

@@amandajoyce6619 fortunately I’ve not met him. But he comes across as a narcissistic know-all. He talks over the people he interviews and just loves the sound of his own voice

@@bield7I love his obvious lack of self awareness even though it can irritate people. He seems like a nice person overall.

LOVE the Madeleys. They remind me of being at my Grandma's house in the 90s watching This Morning with her whilst doing housework. Haha. Lovely wholesome memories. ❤

That world back then was just different, homely and relatable. Indeed, no Sky even back then. So happy I was a kid and lived the experience. These were half-term breaks and school holidays.

I absolutely adore Richard I’ve grown up with him. When this morning first aired in October 1988 I was 11 years old. He used to catch my attention so much I didn’t want to go to school. I’m so glad that over 35 years later he’s still around and looking absolutely no different to how I remember him. An amazing presenter, journalist and entertainer. Congrats with your new books too buddy, I shall be reading them

My mum would set the VHS to record This Morning every day and I'd come home from school and we'd watch it together, eating sandwiches. Richard and Judy have never been bettered as This Morning presenters, please bring them back! If not, another husband and wife team would be fantastic, Ruth and Eamon, Tess and Vernon, they've got chemistry that you can't create!

They always do this segment or get them back to talk about This Morning "We must remind the viewers how important this show is" I can hear in the meeting rooms. I like the show and know how important it is, but starting to have these ideas after the frequency of these segments. If it's the case, maybe more subtle ways could be good! and I do understand getting him in whilst talking about a new book is considered subtle. No hate, I love the show - just my thoughts whilst seeing these type of videos quite a lot.

Richard and Judy knew how to be impartial in journalism and presenting. Since then, things have rapidly gone downhill, hence why I don't watch legacy media anymore.
