When Richard Marx originally wanted to start his solo career, he wanted to rock out. But much like Michael Bolton, Peter Cetera, and Christopher Cross, he made his living at adult contemporary and pop, and there was no escaping it once he started getting a wide audience. For the record, Michael Bolton used to be in a heavy metal band called Blackjack featuring future KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick, Peter Cetera's first album as a solo artist was only sold in Japan because it rocked, and Christopher Cross at age 19 actually stood in for Richie Blackmore in Deep Purple because he had a case of food poisoning and couldn't get on stage that night in San Antonio.

In the vein of "Nothing You Can Do About It" but unlike back in 1989 I have a pretty good notion who you're talking about. Of course, I have heard the story behind" Nothing..." and it's definitely an angry and powerful rocker but this track has righteous indignation and you're holding a stack of receipts!! Yes sir!

Geweldige keeper. Met dat lijf en dan nog zo’n atleet. Een van zijn mooiste reddingen staat er niet tussen. Op het WK 1978, nu weet ik niet of het tegen of Oostenrijk od West-Duitsland was, schot van pakweg25 meter diagonaal in de verre hoek. Hoe hij zweeft en klemvast. Prachtig.
