key is getting Ojeda up on the debate stage. we'll have Tulsi, up there, probably Bernie too... but, my sense is Ojeda is the most likely not to soften this important point. Bernie is still my top pick, but, more than once he let Hillary off the hook when he had everything needed to expose how much she was serving concentrated wealth.

I was shocked when I received a personal phone call from Richard Ojeda. Not from his office but from the man himself. I'm not a big donor or anyone important but he took the time to call to thank me himself. To me that speaks volumes.

You have to give it to the guy, at least he is being honest and not hiding behind lies. He voted for Trump because he had a message for people of WV and Hillary didn't. He voted Republican in the past because they provided money when he was in the force. Now he is civilian and he realizes the wrongs and admits it. I like that, he is being honest.

Exactly! Ojeda calls out both sides and is one of the few people that will be running for president that knows exactly how hard it is for average people to make it paycheck to paycheck. I am in favor of the wage limit laws for people of Congress that he proposed and that all lobbyist interactions between Congress be taped for the public to see.

A presidential candidate who supports the New Green Deal, unions, working people, medicare for all. Corporate money is ruining what's left of our democracy. Ojeda, authentic & not afraid to call it like it is. Strategy is key in the months to come. Needs to be included in debates. Media and voters take note.

It's kinda disheartening to see all of the negative comments made about Ojeda. It's almost as if they didn't listen to the video, had it on mute and just screamed at the screen the whole time. The guy's actually advocating to save America's democracy, and that's still enough to trigger some 'patriots'. Very disheartening.

I like where this guy is coming from. Being working class myself I have never felt represented in the government, let alone the White House. They take my tax money and give it to the wealthy so they can get reelected. To me that's the number one issue. Our government should work for all Americans, not just the rich.

But yes.. the USA has two big problems: A two party 'democracy'*, and both parties are different in issues of equality, sexuality and religion, but very similar in economics policies. So you can choose if you are for, or against gay marriage. Most of us couldn't care less. But you can't choose if you want to cover the gambling depts of banks with your hard earned tax money or not... So yes.. get angry, and don't let the corporate democrats ruin yet another election by nominating a republican light over a symbol of hope.

I’m impressed. He’s truly in touch with the issues that affect average people. And he has the presence to take on Trump in a debate. He could also communicate with rural America and chip away at the margins in those red areas. I think he’s a sleeper candidate.

Bernie/Ojeda ticket would absolutely demolish. Bernie has the progressive vote on lockdown, and Bernie even appeals to independents and republicans with his honesty. I'm an Australian HS teacher - we have so much better pay and conditions than teachers do over there in the US. US teachers paying out their own wages for basic classroom resources - that's criminal. pittarak1- A major problem is a lack of uniform funding for schools. In the US only about 10% of funding is by the federal government. The rest is made up by the state and local government. Almost even at about 45% each. This is where the problem arises. For one, you have poor states which won't be able to fund schools as well, and another is poor local areas. The local government taxes come from property taxes, and if a school district is rich they will get funded well but if they are poor and don't get much property tax revenue they will suffer with a lack of school supplies. Of course, like Jay M. Sneddon says, the trillions in tax cuts didn't help, and the government always seems more interested in overpaying for the military rather than our nation's future.

Keep money going to people like Ojeda, Tulsi, and Bernie. Anybody that is going to stir the pot. Keep them on the debate stages as long as possible. Best way to do that is to keep the small dollar donations coming in. Even if you plan on voting Bernie in the primaries just to ensure he's the candidate, we need to keep the discussion on the progressive issues and having Ojeda and friends on stage will help unveil the curtain to the sheep that watch the mains stream news. You can't silence and cheat 2020 like they did 2016.

I think it's wonderful how this man has evolved in his thoughts and it shows how HUMAN he is. I want to see Bernie Sanders announce and save us from this nightmare but if he isn't going to do it (and I get it, health, age, etc). Then RICHARD OJEDA. I like that "I have the names of my brothers and sisters tattoo'd on my back and they didn't die for this." Going forward, I want to see him demonstrate he has the policy knowledge to be the President we need. Ojeda, show us you can be America's Hero.

I'm not even American and I want to vote for this guy, that was actually pretty powerful and moving. Be nice to have a person who would actually fight and uncover the devastation pharmacies do to humanity.

This guy can seriously hurt Trump. Ojeda's personal background matches that of the Republican voter base (very southern, pro military, and a vet himself) which could steal a LOT of votes. Trump is a NYC big shot. I think that could be a big deal in a Trump v. Ojeda scenario.

Ojeda is not going to be the president, but as he said he has made his mark and he will shape the conversation of the next presidential elections just like Bernie did last time. He is going to pull the conversation more to the left. Great guy!

Yes this is out. I wish he would primary Manchin or run against Capito for Senate though. His congressional district that he ran in was more Republican than the rest of WV . He would have a legitimate chance to win in a statewide election.

We know what he is up against. No matter how it plays out, I sure hope he will end up in some position of leadership. He has a spirit that we absolutely need and that we have not seen in a very long time. All the best to him !!!!

@Seudon Amousit's not that hard to go from bernie to trump. the other options were to not vote, or to vote for that marie antoinette-like person who cheated from start to finish in order to win the primary. i don't like that he voted for trump and it'll most likely break his neck in the primary, but it is possible to understand why he did it.

I don't know if Ojeda can win. I really hope a man like him could. However there is one thing I do know. I would give real money just to see a debate between Trump and Ojeda
