The fact that he played receiver in college was even a bigger advantage 🔥

Woolen and Trevon Diggs were WR too right? A lot of ballhawk corners used to play WR. It’s instinct to go after the ball.

I still get goose bumps from the deflection he did in the nfc game against san fran!!! I will always LOVE this guy! top 5 all time seahawk in my book! I hope he plays for years and then comes back to coach for the Hawks.

Talk about an end of an era for Seattle... I'm a Pats fan but you cannot deny how great that defense was there. IMO those defensive units was at their peak in the 2013 - 2014 seasons and will go down as the GOAT defensive units. Now that the 2010s era of football is about to be at a close there were 2 things that stood out to me. 1) being Brady and Bill establishing Themselves as the GOAT and 2) being this Seattle unit winning games with swag, attitude, and borderline craziness that changed the landscape and rebranded the Seahawks. They brought the mentality of a crazy atmosphere there in the form of the "12th man" that made Central Link field one of the most devastating places to play in. They literally made their presence known to the NFL with a "Boom." All starting from a comment made by Richard Sherman after a game they beat the Patriots and Tom Brady especially in a physical and scrappy game. The "You Mad Bro?" taunt heard from around the world that brought the LOB and Sherman into focus as villians. The Defensive Vets and other past players was impressed with it because they know how serious Brady is about winning and preparing that it made them smile when he got "Punched in the mouth" as they say and thrown off his game. They knew how Great Brady is it just made them laugh when one group of individuals didn't give a damn and just played the game with an intensity that said, "They didn't get the memo on, You are going against Tom Brady and just treated him like another QB." They brought back much needed excitement and physicality on the defensive side where the league was going extremely pass happy and the long time defensive units that were old school in the Ray Lewis Ravens, Brian Urlacher Bears, or Troy Polomalu Steelers were getting old and couldn't catch up anymore. As QBs were dominating they brought back and blended old school with New school on the defensive side to counteract the QB driven league. Leading them basically decimating the competition and playoff football was ALWAYS a thing around that unit. That defense didn't take a play off and would jump on the chances for opportunities to make plays. Thats what happen in that 2013 season and that is what they did to Peyton Manning in that superbowl. Make plays and dominate. So when the 2014 season started and that team was on the verge on a repeat through the playoffs but with Brady and Bill on the other side trying to revive the Patriots dynasty; it lead to an electrically charged Super Bowl 49 that was going feature a clash of 2 heavyweights. A superbowl to this day I say is still the GOAT I witnessed and one of the best performances of Brady's career. He went against fierce competition in the Seahawks and established his place as the GOAT QB. Talk about legendary and its sad to see not a rematch between these two in a super bowl.

i'll always root for sherman. growing up playing madden, people always made fun of me for playing as and liking the seahawks. The LOB came out of nowhere and bullied everyone! Sherman was the meanest and most omnipotent bully i've ever seen. He was absolutely vicious towards my enemies.

How many offensive coordinators have to be taught- Do NOT throw the ball anywhere near Sherman. The man ain't screwin around and he will leave you in the Burn Ward ! If explosive intense insane energy describe anyone- it's SHERMAN ! W

The Hawks could realistically send 8 guys on the rush because they knew they could stick Sherman on anyone they had at receiver
