In 2008 I lost my job, my home, I was living in the street. I literally sat on on a train track waiting for a train to take me out of this world. I was in a very bad place. Out of nowhere a car parked not far from where I was laying blasting this song. Listening I was reminded that God will never let go of my hand. I forgot My trials came to make me strong... and just like that the season changed and. Gods been too good to me.

I lost my grandmother 5 years ago, the same day she died I had to have an emergency pacemaker implanted to save my life. My niece contracted the virus in 2000 at the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic. In October of the same year, my autistic daughter, niece, and I contracted the COVID-19 virus and recovered. Two months later my brother and his whole family caught it also. His family recovered but he did not and died in February 2021. My niece who contracted the virus at the beginning of 2020 died from complications of the disease a month after my brother. 3 weeks ago, I lost my mother, the daughter of my grandmother who died 5 years ago. I say all this to anyone who is going through a storm right now. I am a witness that if you hold on to God, he will not let go of you and he will carry you and give you peace during your storm.

Black Lives Matter for the past 400+ yrs. Praise God for the strength and resilience of African Americans who held on and never let go of God's Hand despite everything. I am white and can never truly understand what it is to be black but I have tried my best to treat you as my brothers and sisters in Christ. And I'll never forget how I received love and generosity from my African American coworker who gave me hand made dresses her grandma made when I had only a few clothes.
