I could listen to Richard Tarnas speak for hours. His books, especially "The Passion of the Western Mind," made such an impact on me, enabling me to finally understand how mankind was evolving. Now, I am going through my second Saturn Return(17º) though I have felt its wider reach. Transiting Neptune is conjunct my natal Jupiter, which is trining my natal Neptune in my 2nd house. I am eager for the transiting conjunction with transiting Jupiter and transiting Neptune. I feel oddly empowered. I won't go into it here, but I do feel ready to offer my wisdom(I have learned so much!) through generous listening, and mindful conversation. Everything else has dropped away. Grateful to have the grasp that I do on the planets as I think without it, I would be lost. Those dark, hopeless moments might have claimed me, but seeing that I have a path through, that I have a part is nourishing, supportive. My natal sun in Pisces is glowing back on my Jupiter so I'm hoping that it is not boiling away. what strange times these are. Yes, sometimes I do wonder what the point is of all of this. Often. I like the idea of a larger, numinous growth, contribution that we are making. Clearly the contrary, the ego steeped in the dollar over the human heart holds nothing for me, or any of us. Perhaps I will stop writing here. Grateful!

I’m so glad I have your books. I was looking forward to the movies but the marketing is too much for me and I have to bail. I’ll hopefully catch up down the road. Loads of blessings for you personally and the intellectual property but I worry that the people who really need to hear it won’t. I can’t send the link to people I love and care about; they will opt out like I did ASAP. I get that the production cost lots of money but so do Star Wars movies. While this may be great for newbies, I found nothing new here after having read his magnum opus, Cosmos & Psyche ( which is highly recommended despite it’s strong academic prose - this isn’t meant as a criticism, but is a limitation to general understanding especially for those with limited knowledge of the development of Western Culture). This is too simplistic otherwise. One has to refer back to their natal chart ( ideally) in conjunction with current mundane transits.The natal Saturn Uranus aspect if any figures into any insight, in addition to the house where the 1988 conjunction fell (28-29 Tropical Sag) in your chart. Then the current phase of the cycle needs to be looked at more closely. As a waning square, we need to look at the prior opoosition, waxing square, and initial conjunction. The advance of technology is the key event of the 1988 conjunction. How had it changed our lives for both better and worse? Politically and economically on a collective level as well as mentally, emotionally, and physically on a personal level? The only revelatory aspect of this video for me is the fact that he uses pronouns (as a Californian and resident scholar at CIIS in San Francisco). That alone represents a significant change from the past for those of us who are old enough to remember. Very Saturn-Uranus in retrospect. Especially since KZfaq wasnt around then! So lots of nuance for me but if anyone wants to get a better grip on this and other cycles, it will take more time. That’s why his book, published in 2006 before the last opposition in 2008 is necessary reading. I'm sorry but the childish pronouns on the screen utterly discredits Tarnas. He's not some pre-teen struggling with identity issues. As a fully grown adult, to use such juvenile tropes is quite frankly embarrassing. I listened for about a minute hoping the ridiculous "he/him" would be removed as the talk progressed. It didn't. I stopped watching.

I love Tarnas’s writing and have seen him speak. Once the virtue-signaling began at the beginning of this video, I couldn’t listen anymore. You know that “native land” was violently taken by natives long before “white settlers” arrived, right? This is either historically and intellectually naive or it is disingenuous.
